Hmm he's not THAT bad haha, he's alright, just not epic. I'm going to strongly disagree with you on Colin being the 'true' Darcy because in my mind, in my head while reading the book, I have my OWN personal TRUE Darcy that looks nothing like Colin Firth, and hardly acts like how he intepreted Darcy to be as well. Mr.Darcy should not be tied down to one actor, he is every woman's personal dream man. Infact, Mathew Macfayden interpreted Darcy closer to how I interpreted him.
The fact is that most people would have been flawed by a remark like that, but being able to laugh it off shows Lizzie's intelligence and sense of character. What a woman!
This scene always cracks me up. I always imagine in my head a ghetto version, where Lizzy on hearing Darcy's comment gets up and says, 'Brother pleeease, YOU aint good enough to tempt me' LMAO!
@marcojmnz93 estupido comentario. Anticuada ¿qué querías ver Avatar o que? jajaja estamos hablando de principios del siglo XIX, no manches aprende a conocer que cada cosa tal cual es de acuerdo a su tiempo.
I personally prefe Bride and Racial Prejudice much better...the one where the wealthy Persian Merchant brings his Harem to Chattam Hall Ball and makes them belly dance to the
alluring tunes of the orient and to the horror of the snotty faced English, pure delight!
hahaha ! lol. its so funny when lizzy bennet walked in front of mr.darcy almost laughing ! like it was her pleasure to have someone to insult her. very great, indded. =)
man... screw collin firth and matthew mcfayden. Orlando Bloom should've taken the role!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The so need to make a 2011 remake.

@dongtian00 I guess everyone to their own... Before I saw the movie I imagined Darcy really close to Colin... So everyone to their own. :P

I watch this movie almost every day. Yes, it's a sickness, but I love it. My husband even quotes some of Mr. Darcy's lines. It turns me on.

Because his friends don't dance.
And if they don't dance, then they're no friends of mine

He really was the best Mr.Darcy.

Totally. Handsome attractive man. No one else has that intensity in his eyes. And that's why he interpreted the other Mr Darcy (Bridget Jones') :)

Love this scene just love it when she walks past him and sniggers with Charlotte and he is mad for being so proud.

And this is Andrew Davies' note: "Darcy was used to looking at other people like that, but was not used to being looked at like that himself."
