  • It looks larger than I expected, I have a feeling im going to have to replace my case's side fan in order to fit this.

  • I have a hyper 212 and it looks nothing like this.

  • @Emaiahs I think its a 212 plus, you probably have the new 212 EVO like I do. I was thinking the same thing until I looked at the video date. :)

  • what his name

  • "TO COOL DOWN..... THESE SLITS"

  • @Tekron oh nevermind he says fins, now it isn't funny anymore

  • maybe do it with ram in? because alot of people dont know that your ram slots were empty, and it wouldnt fit if you had tall ram in there.... mann..

  • "For Mor information"

  • I want to see Cooler Master Hyper 412 guide

  • that thing is big!!!!!

  • damn that thing is huge! Couldn't get an idea of the size until I saw it in a video

  • Yea, spread the paste with a business card to create a million microscopic air bubbles.

  • @slapnthface what's ditto mean?

  • Compatible with AMD phenom ii x4 3.4ghz black edition?

  • @Panda4Cash ditto

  • @Panda4Cash yes

  • @Panda4Cash all am3 sockets dude, so your good :)

  • would you recommend this cooler with a i5 2500k?

  • @karadanianoI I would. I've got one and it overclocks like a dream.

  • @MrRadskee Hey dude, I

  • should i put thermal grease on the cooler and the cpu? or just the cpu?

  • @shadowsun4386 Hi, I would recommend applying the thermal grease on the CPU only , applying paste on both CPU and heat sink could get a bit messy and would not be as efficient

  • @GuyonthaBlock thanks i put my whole computer together quite a while ago, I figured it would be too much of a mess to put it on both so i just put it on the cpu

  • would this fit on my case my case from the front side to side is 6.5 inches or 16.5 cm??

  • @limedesign2 If I remember correctly it's 168mm high so I highly doubt it will fit. I think you will need a case of at least 205mm wide just to get it in, It fits in my Antec 300 perfectly if that's any help to you..

  • wow. this is freaking corny

  • @MrRadskee at least he went over the thermal paste

  • Can someone please help here?? :S

Will this fan work with my Intel i5 2500k 3.3GHz CPU? And my Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P Motherboard?

Quick Response would be greatly appreciated. :)

  • @UNSKIALz

    no chance

  • @786mansoor786

I was just informed that it can, and through research I can back that up too.

    You kidding broooooo?

  • sorry dude

i got ur cpu mixed up with the i5 i had

this fan doesnt configure with my one so i assumed it wudnt with urs

    apologies

  • @UNSKIALz Yes it is compatible

  • Will it work with a hexacore phenom? Because the compatibility chart on amazon said it only goes up to quad-core processors.

  • @VisualPrefection Hexacore phenoms use the AM3 socket, which is also what the X4 Phenom uses. The 212 is indeed compatible with the AM3 socket, so you may in fact cool your hexacore with this. Enjoy!

  • @DmdWasserTanzt huge difference when it comes to installation and thermal application.... huuuge difference

  • Hey if my am3 motherboard already has like the plastic notches where the cooler goes do i still need to put the ones that come with this on to apply this cooler?

  • GUIDO SCIENCE

  • you can notice this guy had to go over his lines lol and still fail doesnt even know what his saying

  • Im getting one of these but Im so scared of putting the paste on it...

  • @lentyski dont worry man. you get the thermal paste with it and all you do is apply a little dab in the middle of your cpu chip and spread it across with a buisness card. you dont use all of the paste either. also when removing your old cpu cooler it might be stuck with your old paste so turn it left and right gently to break the seal. dont pull straight up or u will bend the pins. anyhow i installed myn 3 days ago its way eaiser then it looks just take it slonw

  • @orkslayer1 So the packaging comes with the thermal paste? Or do you have to buy it? :/

  • Cant i just uninstall my old cooler and just put this cooler on? Or do i need to replace everything?

  • @kenk9 So long as its compatible with your processor socket. And you will need to apply thermal paste, which is supplied with the cooler.

  • That thing is HUGE!! :O

  • Can I install this onto my AMD motherboard without taking out the motherboard, if I already have a stock AMD heatsink holder?

  • They didn't spell more correctly.

  • The hyper 212 & hyper 212 plus are two different products. This original model has a copper plate which you can see at 1:24 while on plus all the pipes meet so there are a lot of cracks/fault lines making it annoying to put on paste. I don't think it cools as well, so if you have a x4 or above get the one with the copper. Nothing else on this cooler is copper, just orange painted junk. The plus tries to make up for being cheap, including a bracket for 2nd 120mm fan, for push + pull with 2 120mms

  • This is the old installation hardware for the Hyper 212. If you have a newer Hyper 212 that does not include the old flat AMD mounting bracket for the back of the motherboard be sure to check out a newer video.

  • shouldn't the fan be on the other side?

  • my cooler didnt come boxed like this the fan was seperate from the cooler, what should i do?

  • @zabbestpriest there are two hyper 212 versions but your version should come with stuff to mount 2 fans on it

  • u shoulda remove the sticker just before installing the cooler and do not ever spread the compound over the cpu surface with a card just put some compound on the center and press the cooler on it. that way the contact between cpu and cooler is much better resulting in better cooling performance.

  • @cankarales I disagree highly with your statement about not using a card. The idea is to get an even and COMPLETE surface covering of thermal paste onto the top of the CPU. By simply placing a clump in the middle there is no way to tell if the surface of the CPU and the heatsink are completely covered. I used to use the old method your talking about and after taking them apart you will see that it is an unevenly spread area. Some areas won't even get any thermal paste at all.

  • @sh4rkbyt3 okay maybe your right i have never did any of this so i can't be the smart one here. but i watched a demonstration video where that guy had some cpu's and tested the spreading of thermal compound over the surface with different methods by putting a piece of clear acrylic over it. and as far as i know the card spreading was worst option... but i don't know..

ether way most of coolers you can buy these days have the compound pre-applied so you don't have to worry about that :)

  • @cankarales "okay maybe your right i have never did any of this", then why give advice on something that could potentially be disastrous to a new builder? I'm not raking you over the coals here, I just don't understand why someone would attempt to give advice to others that your a) not sure about and b) you have little to no experience in yet you offer it as authoritative? Ask any pro builder and they will 9 out of 10 times want it spread evenly rather than to glop it on and hope for the best.

  • @cankarales And you cannot tell if you have enough or not simply by doing the blind method your talking about. I've seen people use this way and get a tiny spot of thermal paste on the side of the CPU which made contact in a socket hole and fried both their mobo and their proccy! It does happen and that's exactly why you need to pre-spread the thermal compound!!

  • Whats with the aspect ratio?

  • Can this CPU cooler handle i5 760 with good thermal paste?

  • Disregard my last question.

  • Will an HAF 912 case be big enough?

  • From what i hear the recommended width is 21.5 Cm. just see if your Case meets this.

  • can i install this in my E7400 core 2 duo on asus P5KPl-CM mATX mobo?

  • @dipu94321 mainboard isnt the problem the case is

  • This thing is a fucking monster, but I am getting it :P... Too bad it doesn't fit perfectly in an antec 900 case, gona do some modifications. So cheap too, perfect for an overclocker who doesn't just go insane with their overclocks.

  • which is more better? hyper 212 or hyper 212+?

  • Would this fan fit in the Cooler Master Sniper case? I need a new cooler because I'm afraid the stock cooler might not be cooling the CPU enough.

  • CUTE host!

  • yo, I want to know if the Hyper 101i (for intel) install the same way or it doesnt need the backplate like that!?!?!?!

    help me please!

  • can this fit my dell inspiron 530 (not slim) desktop?

  • is that cooler master hyper 212 plus?? couse mine is kinda different from what i saw

  • @bayandsl no, that's the cooler master hyper 212 NO-PLUS... the plus version is different and more efficient.

  • @yosmer333 oh thanks

  • has anyone seriously assembled a computer and left the plastic on?

  • hah 0:44

    "mor information"

  • Whats his nationality?

  • this is better than CM V8?

  • @ashrocks87 even bettter than 10.thats what they say.

  • God, if you mess up the connection just a little bit it's going to be hell to reinstall it. Custom plates are so inconvenient -_-

  • rofl ur hair look like a heat sink

  • GEEZE THAT THING IS HUGE!!! You could kill a guy with that....if you wanted to, that is....not that I would ever recommend it....um.....so, yeah....BYE!

  • @matrix86 you can kill anyone with basicly anything...if you wanted to, that is....not that I would ever recommend it....um.....so, yeah....BYE!

bought this fan just today keeps everything a chill

  • @matrix86 You want huge? Try the Megahalem or the Noctua NH-D14!

  • The dude has a nice spiky hair...

  • can you mount another fan on the other side?

and will this mount on Phenom II's?

  • @BKsMassive

yep, it comes with clips for a 2nd fan

i hope so, cause that's what i'm gonna try to use it on in a few days!!

  • Very enthusiastic spokesman.

I just got this HSF today. The instructions say to apply the thermal paste directly to the base of the HSF rather then the processor.

  • when they will learn to make smaller and efficient coolers? and come on no one should mount a cooler with the fan direct to the inside of the case, it should direct towards outside the case to blow the hot air outside the case, in the way the video shows up its blowing hot air against the memories

  • @drakex99 you're 11 and have no idea what you're talking about.

the fan will suck air from the memory area and blow out towards the rear fan.

  • Will this fit in a mid tower case?

  • pitty coolermaster let that incompetent idiot kid showcase their product. he barely knows how to speak english well...

  • is it compatible with any kind of motherboard and cpu?

  • Is it noisy? Can I replace the fan if it fails after a long time?

  • its very quiet, and you can replace the fan(and add a second one) at any time with any normal size 120mm fan.

  • I got the Hyper TX3, the little version of the 212 xD

    ..is great!!

  • @eldaguinio

Yes, it just pops on/off from the heatsink.

  • @eldaguinio yes, you can also add one 120mm fan on the opposite side of the heat pipes (optional)

  • @eldaguinio Could be worse - I've read the included fan gets up to 16-17 db at 12v. You can replace it very easily with any fan of the same size - you can even add a second fan in a push/pull configuration with a second included set of wire clips or brackets.

  • @eldaguinio yes you can and not it is not too noisy

  • @eldaguinio its not noisy at all. And yes you can buy any 120mm fan and it will fit on.

  • @eldaguinio You CAN replace the fan with any 120mm fan at any time. You can also add 2 fans to this cooler, one on each side.

  • wouldn't my motherboard break or bend or something because of the weight and size?

  • no, the back plate spreads the weight around, and all the weight is put on the screws on the motherboard, not the motherboard itself.

  • @govnajedemdanas if you do a proper install nope, otherwise it will bring misfortune for you

  • Hi is it possible to use this on Phenom II X4 945?

i think its an AM3 if im not mistaken ???

  • I think you will be able to. It says it supports AM3.I myself might be getting this for my 955BE

  • it fits it (:

  • 1:10 i LOLed so hard.

  • Thx for tutorial !!

  • How come in this video the heatsink here has a solid copper base and in the other video it has heat pipes exposed at the bottom?

  • @mtyler7807 This is the Hyper 212. The one with the exposed heat pipes is the Hyper 212 Plus.

  • the solid copper base is hyper 212..the one with exposed pipes is 212 "plus"

  • Thanks, I had found out a day or so later. My 212 plus is working good

  • no intel? Omg u amd fanboi

  • omg he's so shy =))

  • haha you lost RAM!!!

  • muito bom !!

  • can it fit my AM2+ socket mainboard

  • Yes,. i have this cooler on my AM2+ board.

  • And now your RAM slots are blocked...

  • thats why you put the ram in before you mount the heatsink

  • @gabeherb345 just remove the fan and set to the another side, its not wise to blow hot air inside the case, and its not really blocked that way, have enough space to install the memories the way the video demonstrates, but its the wrong way

  • can we use it wid phenom 2 processors???

  • I think a xigmatek would be better.

  • but much more expensive. nowadays the slightly better version of this cooler (CM hyper 212 plus) goes for 25 bucks.

  • Where are you getting this bargain?

  • hm, i cant find the place i found it for 25 dollars. guess it's a bargain indeed. anyway i found that bargain on an online shop yesterday, so if you spend some time searching, you'll probably get there soon enough.

  • I have a xigmatek, I'd rather not.

  • If you do feel like buying online I always use shopbot and that will tell you the best price around for that part and where to get it.

  • I'll buy it if I get a 200% refund if it doesn't outperform my old one.

  • Nice! Where are you getting that deal from?

  • From you!

  • Lol I ain't paying you nothing! Or did u mean from shopbot lol?

  • You tell me.

  • Maybe this is all an illusion. Maybe LIFE is all an illusion. You tell ME this.

  • So you figured us out. You are the last human being in existence. You are in an earth-like simulator so we can re-create the earth as it was before the 2012 disaster that killed all the humans except you.

  • @GundamTotema

:P I survived because I was the smartest who knew that the only way to survive a nuclear blast is by riding a unicorn directly into the explosion. No one believed me...

  • Well let's just pretend this never happened. You are a normal human living among other normal humans.

  • @GundamTotema

What never happened? Oh yeah I remember. OK I guess I can pretend, but I won't enjoy it. OK I may enjoy it but I better always have peanut butter in my house, or else...

  • I use it with a phenom X3

  • Aah just what I need. But Im not using an AM2 mobo T.T

  • Does this fit in the nxzt alpha case?

  • does this guy know anything about computers?

  • HEY

does it fit onto a AM2+ socket ?

  • it should

  • yes

  • rly ?

  • pretty sure

  • yes it would but lol it took me like 1 hour i am 13 i just started making computers i had stock amd fan and am2 mother board i took it aout and put it in it should fit nicly

  • lol

On the HAF922 isn´t rly hard to do it ...

  • Hey you know if this cooler is perfect for an AMD Phenom 9950 BE, but apparently it is not said q = /
