The stimulus was going to stop unemployment from getting into the 9-10% range and we are at what 9.4% now? According to forecasts unemployment was to not go ver the 8.x% range and shrink and from the looks of it it will be well over 10% by the time it really kicks in. Things are not as rosey as they need to be to spend so much.
Whats interesting is that as part of the economic STIMULUS bill is that the Governors that refused to take it argued correctly that it has requirements attached to it. Governments jobs created by it are temporary (the funding was a stimulus and not permanent) and when the funding runs out those jobs will have to be paid for by States who are aready cash strapped. The stimulus was a joke and watch it is all about putting controlling the States. Obama and the rest pulled a fast one.

I watched that NBC special on the Obama and his White House staff last night and the night before (can't remember the name of the piece) and Obama claimed that the fed's actions spared the economy of a depression so it merely went into a very bad recession. He keeps saying how we'll have to make "tough choices", while Brian Williams talked about how close the economy was to crashing. Why the fuck don't people wake up? We will never know for sure how many jobs were saved by the stimulus. That doesn't mean you get to fill in the number ZERO. You should invest some thought as to why liberals want regulations such as antitrust laws. Any corporation that is too big to fail is a burden on everyone. That goes DOUBLE for media conglomerate like FOX.
Really? Big corporations are actually a gigantic boost to the economy and create tons of jobs.
The solution is not to bail out the companies, it is to let the economy "prune" itself and trim off all of the dead branches (like the bad spending of the corporations and banks, also people).
And an entire "stimulus" package should be a LAST resort. This takes time and patience, not money.
Big corporations that become too big too fail become a reliability issue. The system will tune itself to be very efficient by ridding itself of redundancy. It is that redundancy that makes the economy robust. If corporations are relatively small then there is little impact to the economy if one of them fails. As they are allowed to get bigger the impact increase to the point where we are unwilling to allow them to fail.

I think it is funny how libbies say that HTWW lies when in fact with the current unemployment rate being higher now than any of Obama's economic forecasts. The stimulus was going to stop unemployment from getting into the 9-10% range and we are at what 9.4% now? According to forecasts unemployment was to not go ver the 8.x% range and shrink and from the looks of it it will be well over 10% by the time it really kicks in. Things are not as rosey as they need to be to spend so much.

Whats interesting is that as part of the economic STIMULUS bill is that the Governors that refused to take it argued correctly that it has requirements attached to it. Governments jobs created by it are temporary (the funding was a stimulus and not permanent) and when the funding runs out those jobs will have to be paid for by States who are aready cash strapped. The stimulus was a joke and watch it is all about putting controlling the States. Obama and the rest pulled a fast one.

The Constitution clearly enumerates and differentiates between entities such as Executive, Congress, States, and THE PEOPLE.
2A refers to THE PEOPLE.
By contrast, the 1st Amendment states CONGRESS shall pass no law... The legal doctrine of incorporation made most of these clauses apply to the States.
So, I don't see any possible legal way for a State or municipality to ban handguns. "The people" refers to every breathing, American citizen, regardless of place of residence.

What is going to happen when GM is out competed in the economy? Is the gov going to let GM fail then, or are they going to go to protectionism? That is one of the real dangers of the US gov owning GM. It's bound to happen, how can the gov allow Toyota to beat a gov owned GM? It will come under the guise of saving jobs.

Obama's teleprompter already told him that he created 150K jobs since the signing of the porkulus... ermm... stimulus package. However, they still have yet to verify their source of this information. Meanwhile, almost simultaneously, the Department of Labor released a contrasting report that 1.3 million jobs have been lost since the signing. Well, at least Pelosi was wrong with her prediction of 500M jobs being lost per month (US population - 305m) - Duh!!!

I watched that NBC special on the Obama and his White House staff last night and the night before (can't remember the name of the piece) and Obama claimed that the fed's actions spared the economy of a depression so it merely went into a very bad recession. He keeps saying how we'll have to make "tough choices", while Brian Williams talked about how close the economy was to crashing. Why the fuck don't people wake up? Obama is basically doing everything wrong he could to "save" the economy.

We will never know for sure how many jobs were saved by the stimulus. That doesn't mean you get to fill in the number ZERO. You should invest some thought as to why liberals want regulations such as antitrust laws. Any corporation that is too big to fail is a burden on everyone. That goes DOUBLE for media conglomerate like FOX.

Really? Big corporations are actually a gigantic boost to the economy and create tons of jobs.
The solution is not to bail out the companies, it is to let the economy "prune" itself and trim off all of the dead branches (like the bad spending of the corporations and banks, also people).
And an entire "stimulus" package should be a LAST resort. This takes time and patience, not money.

Big corporations that become too big too fail become a reliability issue. The system will tune itself to be very efficient by ridding itself of redundancy. It is that redundancy that makes the economy robust. If corporations are relatively small then there is little impact to the economy if one of them fails. As they are allowed to get bigger the impact increase to the point where we are unwilling to allow them to fail.

The first problem with that estimate is that the total population of the U.S. is only 306M. So lets just say she misspoke and ment to say 500K jobs. Well, it seems we still lost them. My family gained a remarkable amount of wealth in the last 7 years to see it all go away in a pinch, we owned 5 houses my mom was a real estate agent and my dad was a lawyer till his law firm went under at the beginning of last year and now hes a mill worker. My mom is losing 3 houses and our new Dodge is being reposed this is bringing me to the poor house.

Well I have no idea if he is a 'Good' man...(whatever that may mean) but he has kicked out 'mega-corp' from raping the country's oil reserves and 'Agri-corp' from stealing their harvest...but when he tried to change the constitution he was VOTED down...that's right!
