  • I love this vidieo, I saw it last night and went to sleep, I swear I was on my way to a binge and this video save me! No joke. I just lost and regained 35 pounds in front of the world and that is not a good feeling....I can't seem to get back on the band wagon. This video got me safetly so far through another day. You live near me and I am condsidering the surgery. Thank you for the candid updates.

  • Right, sounds like you're a fast oxidizer, meaning you metabolize carbs faster causing you to eat more. Google it. I've learned that staying away from processed carbs, other than whole grains (only in the morning) helps with weight loss for me.

  • Watching this with Reinventing Ed.....he says thanks for the shout out.....sorry about the carb craving domino thing....Carbs are devils for both of us as well, and so grateful that you made this video and shared this experience. They trigger so much (*Carb party--invite your friends"), and we've seen people on YT get so mad at themselves for the cravings, thinking they've failed, when it's the carbs that are to blame. Know what I mean??

  • I so agree about carbs! I always used to eat raisin bran cereal in the morning because the fiber. An hour later I'd be starving and I was on that carb roller coaster! Good video.

  • First of all, love the hello kitty background omg I am a hello kitty freak. Second, I love your videos they have been helpful during my own journey, and thanks for addressing carbs because that was definitely my weakness pre-op and I gotta wartch that from now on.

  • carbs are definitely evil for sure! I have the same issues! If I allow them, I know I will be craving everything under the sun for the rest of the day...and quite possibly the next day as well.

  • I notice the same thing. If I start my stay with protein, I have no cravings all day. If I start my day with a carb, I want to eat all day long. It's crazy. I've cut out all grain, potatoes, and rice. They turn on the sticky meter and the fat sticks to me.

  • It's taken me almost a year but I have realized that carbs are not my friend and I cannot have them . I have gone this whole year thinking that I can have 1/2 cup of brown rice or some whole grain pasta but no. I am not much of a sweet eater but I am realizing that my weight is coming off so slowly because I'm trying not to give up carbs so no more sandwich thins for bkfst or crackers or rice or pasta and potatoes until I'm closing in on goal. Thanks T !!

    i sat arguing with myself while eating two cups of icecream a week ago, but i couldn't. COULD. NOT. put the spoon down and the icecream back in the fridge...

    fruit gets me craving more carbs too - isn't fruit supposed to be GOOD for you???

  • I agree carbs are the devil for me too. Even if I don't eat any junk. The carbs themselves make me gain weight. Then the cravings just add to that.

  • I agree. The second I had a beer with lunch that was it! I was craving chocolate, chips and you name it...if it had a carb...I ATE IT! Ridiculous!
