Wow...I never heard this gem from the Maels before. Those brothers have always been known for their creative genius...only they could pull of a cover like this without sounding like elvator music. Wonderful song.

I have the original dj copy of this single and if I remeber rightly they should have been performing it with Marrianne Faithful. They were going to abandon the recording but theyhad a full orchestra paid fro and waiting this is the result!

I love the Beatles, and Sparks. This is the absolute amazing for me. :) They could have just as well renamed it "I want to melt your heart". Russell's voice is so beautiful and sweet. :D

Thank you for this. To think of Sparks as some post-modern ironic act, is to do them an injustice. Yes - the brothers are very knowing, but there's so much emotional/spirituality too. This song's arrangment pulled me back from an abyss. Thank you Ron & Russell.

I never imagen the Mael brothers would bother to do music like this. Usually they sound hyperactive with clever lyrics. Is this a piss-take or what? Thinking about it this version suits the lyric so much better than the original XD
