  • Nice video! Is a flop tube required for any of these maneuvers?

    Thanks

  • Great video! I plan to build an RV-8 myself one day. What would you say the total cost from scratch to air was, all in?

Man, that looks so much fun. The only flying I do these days is for work.

  • Nice video! What do you think of the Subaru engine on the RV-8A?

  • I have about 300 hours on the Subaru engine. My plane is an 8, I would think the performance on the 8A would be about the same, my be a little tigher under the cowling due to the front gear. - Hope this help.s

  • Awesome !

  • Looks like a good build and a fun flyer. Nice work

  • nice rolls and loops with that Egg motor,

what entry speeds did you use and did you leave the prop controller in Auto or manual and what Prop setting did you use on the rpm?

  • For rolls I typically use 150mph and do not pay atttention to the power setting. For loops I use an entry speed of 195 mph and pull to 3.5 to 4 G's this gives me an over the top speed of about 100 mph I typyically put the prop in "Auto" at 2300 rpm. Make sure you are pulling 3 G's on the downside pull out or the the long time in the dive with the prop in auto (flat pitcht at this point)will drive the engine RPM's up quickly

  • GREAT video !!
