  • If you can do at least one QSO every day you won't even notice your proficiency increasing until you hear someone going a lot slower than you and it dawns on you that you used to be that slow, HIHI.

  • @ke4cpc ur 100% correct.

  • @ke4cpc haha that's a good tip i'll have to try and make a habit of that

  • that cw sound horrible !

  • 73!!!!

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • My family is into container shipping business and my father showed me the radio room at his office which have that equipment (I think "Thrane" brand) But they were much larger and mounted on racks and the operators were using computers to run it instead of turning the dials etc.

  • Nice Station ... VY 73!

  • . . _ .

    _ . . .

  • stai a per frate'

  • You know what I like about this rig? It has an analogue S-meter. I never did like the digital types.

  • good radio...

  • Hello

    Best radio

    73's de F5THL daniel

  • wow! that is a really nice radio!

  • vy 73 yu4jn

  • I don't hear him tapping to generate the morse code - is there something electronic generating those tones?

  • It's called a key and a keyer. You have two paddles and if you hit one, the radio recognizes that as dits (and keeps making them) and the other one as da's. If you hold one paddle, you'll get a string of dits, the other one is da's, etc.

It would be impossible to use a straight key at this speed.

  • @csieb2011 Not impossible if you have had enough caffeine and sugar, though endurance and accuracy would be questionable. =D

Meanwhile an electronic keyer is not always necessary if you have a Vibroplex or some other spring-based key. Those are a lot more fun to plunk away with I think.

  • @ke4cpc haha yeah. how fast is this though? i normally can read about 12 wpm but i was having a hard time catching up on this

  • @GMSamuelRhine I would estimate about 35wpm. It's a little fast for my ear and I am out of my comfort zone by about 25.

  • @ke4cpc oh wow. this is probably where practice comes in very handy.

  • this radio also goes to the fridge and gets you a beer!

  • For the price, it should actually BREW the beer !

  • it should actually give you oral

  • You didn't get yours? Back of the line!

  • Great 3B7C signal.

    K4XG

  • how much did that rig coast

  • quite a few thousend, I think it is the Icom´s top of the line.

  • Like that rig better than the 7800

  • Ottimo apparecchio, io sono pienamente soddisfatto. Luca
