Steroids will work to keep the inflammation down but I have seen patients have Bell's for months. Your case is mild. If you still have symptoms after steroids I would take ibuprofen for two more weeks 400 mg every 6-8 hours. Take with food to protect your stomach and avoid alcohol. Hope you get better.
