Wow you are really a master of synth and youve got a great voice too. I always just leave mine on piano and I dont really know the settings all to well. You did a great job of learning this, do you play by ear? If I could I would forget anything I ever learned about sight reading, ear is where its at :)

yep i sure do play by ear . i suck at sight reading but im learning. :) its very frustrating because i can play anything by hearing it way faster then trying to plucking it out with sheet music . its nice sometimes but bad for music school :(

haha. Im the total opposite. I need to see it. When I first started messing with instruments before I learned to read I did it by ear...now if I do it by ear at all ( which I usually just download the sheet music ) I have to write down what I hear and then read it off that to beable to play it. I know how you feel, its crippling! But I do envy you being able to do it by ear so well but Im sure for music school youd rather be able to read.

Lol. I think its all in the method you learn by. If you have decent pitch you can learn either way...but once you start down one path it feels crazy trying to actually do it the other way. Plus a lot of the symbols in reading are so redundant and misleading. It really is a system that needs to be remade I think :)

hey don't feel too bad. i cant even read music very well so lessons haven't done me too much good. if you really want to learn somthing you usually wind up teaching yourself. luckly i have my grandmothers gift of a good ear but not much else lol. Tori is an extraordinary artist i wish i had a fraction of her musical intuition.

hah yes spreading the gospel of tori amos. either people love her or hate her. thats how it is. i personally am willing to give any new music from any genre a good first listen but i will be able to determine if it is crap right away and most mainstream music unfortunately is crap.

You are welcome. That synth is really perfect, absolutely! I think this song itself is really strong. It's not great in the "hit you right over the head with a lead pipe" way but the kind of thing where the more we hear it, the more there is a whole universe of thought put into it, very rewarding to repeat listens. :-)

i think this album is starting to sound like a combination of Venus and Scarlet. it has the layed back easy feeling of scarlet combined with the experimentation of venus with the synths and all. i also seem to be getting a 1940's loungy vibe in a couple of the songs. either way this album is going to be great and i can't wait to see tori on tour because i haven't seen her yet.

oh her concerts are amazing. but last i heard her say, she said she was gonna give touring a break for a while. so she doesn't make people sick of her. which kinda saddened me :/

i saw her on her last ADP tour. she's amazing.
