I offered my VOLUNTEER services and baking abilities to the Marietta GA VFW after they were burglarized by some thugs. I explained to the girl who answered the phone what I was offering and she said, "I CAN'T HELP YOU....I JUST WORK HERE"!!!! WTF? Guess THE VFW DOES NOT NEED ANY HELP AFTER ALL!
McCain you are a failure, a waste of leadership. What does it matter your power or strength of leadership, if your leading people the wrong direction... like a lost man driving, increasing his speed won't help, only put him further into the woods.
Ron Paul is the right leader, the cure for the American vehicle lost in Iraq.
He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.
The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill. This from a man who enjoyed government run health care his ENTIRE LIFE!
Gondeath, you have to remember that the terrorists have killed as many, or probably many, many more. They have no honor, and hide behind the innocent. Its a war, not a video game!
really...is that what he said exactly....he "promised" to stay there for 100 years? I love how people take words spoken and then play "word puzzle" like in the newspaper.
Does Obama really think he will pull out of Iraq in 60 days?
don't vote for pro-high taxation, pro-war, pro-murder(abortion), pro-slavery and anti-freedom mcain, who isn't real republican. the only solution for US is RON PAUL!
I support the VFW and if they endorse John McCain then that is Big wood on the fires of Freedom... The VFW is made up of some of the finest individuals our country has ever had, men whose opinions count because they have been earned at a high price... I fully support Veterans being able to obtain health care at the Office and Location of their choice, travel and Gov't red tape should never be an issue, I believe the V.A. Hospital system has failed our Veterans due to its Socialized design...IMHO
Read the whole quote, and stop taking quotes out of context. He said it as a figure of speech and it was twisted by he media. He answered a question of "50 years" by saying "if it takes 100 years than that's how long it will take", it wasn't a promise, it was a declaration that the war should be completed so that the Iraqis don't get left out. It's actually more humanistic approach then just deserting the country for more violence.
john mccain is a better speaker than obama or hilary will ever be! john mccain will be a better president than obama or hilary could ever be! mccain will be one of the greatest leaders of our country!
"Yes take the troops out of Iraq because there are no terrorists there. Also 4,000 of our troops have died."
How do the Democrats think our troops are dying? Do they think that our soldiers just fell into a ravine and drowned?
The Democrats are wrong. Our soldiers are fighting or the freedom of this country against the terrorists who only want to inflict harm onto us and our families. Freedom isn't free. We're Americans and freedom is our calling!
America NEEDS to vote for John McCain! Obama will ruin the country. Hilary will ruin the country. Also, about vietnam, my father turned 18 one week after the draft ended. He barely missed the draft, and If he was born 1 week earlier than he was he might not be alive today. But I thank every U.S. soldier who was in Vietnam!
I cannot wait to vote for John McCain in November. As a veteran, I think he'll be the best Commander in Chief in my lifetime, and FAR better than anyone else who wants to be President today. The least Americans can do to honor our servicemembers who are fighting the war on Islamic extremism is to give them a CinC that will DO RIGHT for them. While they are sacrificing everything, "America is at the mall."
Hard to believe there was a time when every speech sounded like this - a single voice, uninterrupted by a million goddamn cameras clicking like locusts.
If you read Vietnam history and the war in Vietnam, you'd know that American Marines were winning by 1969 but because of footage and media bringing the realities of war into our TVs, people protested, and the political pressure forced America to retreat. Sure the Vietnam war was also started for the wrong reasons, but trust me, it was a worse reason than starting the Iraq War.
Leaving Iraq is unAmerican... You may ask "are you nuts? American soldiers are dying! Iraqi civilians are dying!" Well guess what? America created a revolution over a tea tax... Why didn't Americans back then say "oh but civilians will die, soldiers will die, are u nuts?" Because we kept on fighting and we succeeded but guess what, just like Iraq, the American Revolution was FILLED with FAILURES. Read history of Vietnam, Iraq, and America before you talk.
The recruitment of Al Qaeda is booming because of the Iraq War, because American troops are in the Middle East, but once you quit the war in Iraq, then you will simply give potential recruits hope that America can be defeated. American soldiers may be harming civilians, but that would happen with any nation. You don't think American soldiers killed civilians in WWII--of course they did. It wasn't justified then OR now. The War is not beneficial for America, but it is for the world and the future
Today, people around the world are angry with the United States for starting a war based on oil under the cover of "war on terror". However, if we were to leave the war we would be hated even more for starting something and not finishing it. The next time, that war will come home. Perhaps not in Washington DC but perhaps it will simply come closer to the West, like London, or Berlin. Do you really believe that if we said sorry and left Iraq, that terror or the recruitment of Al Qaeda will stop?
I hate the Iraq war as much as ANY sensible person. But you cannot just withdraw immediately, you have to finish what you started. People around the world hate America because of starting the war, but to leave the war midway through, is worse! Imagine Americans giving up World War II half-way because the Nazi regime is too hard. Al Qaeda is nothing compared to the scientific and economical power of Nazi Germany.
You are looking for excuses. Admit your sole conviction is that war is wrong no matter what the reason. Saying there are no members of Al Qaeda in Iraq is a talking point and does not reflect the truth that there are violent foreign radical Islamic extremists in Iraq. We need to face the enemy, not run away like children.
Go McCain! The last thing tihs country needs is a democrat in the White House. We all know of the tagedy that occured the last time we had a democrat in office.
Cut and run just Isn't a moral option.John is right.Whether or not this war was started on false pretenses is irrelevant. We are in Iraq now,and must make the right decisions for our future, and the future of the people of Iraq.

Just take a look before you vote!
McCain voted against the GI Bill, you can find a video about it on this site.
Search online to read about McCain's violence toward women, including one in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank:
"McCain Jane Duke Gaylor Jeannette Jenkins POW MIA"
They just wanted info on their missing loved ones.

Republicans lose another seat in Congress.
In an election today, the Republicans lost the Louisiana 6th district seat. The Republicans have held this seat for 34 years.
Republicans also lost Dennis Hastert's seat (IL 14) back in March, a seat held by Republicans for 49 years.
Republicans are being kicked out of Congress by the voters.
