  • My favorite fringe intro, by far.

  • 4 people are shape shifters

  • Thumbs up if you like this "retro-style" intro much more than ordinary opening!

Thumbs up if you want a longer version of this music!

  • @ xxapplestrudelxx

It's a retro styled intro for the great tv show called Fringe.

    Very good.

  • Одна из лучших тем вступления в сериале

  • @evotik thankyou :) I'll have a gander, see what I can find!

  • Please tell me where you got this from!! Thanks :) x

  • @xxapplestrudlexx from VideoCoPilot's blog. I can't paste links there because YouTube is not allow links in comments.

  • I have this as ringtone on my cell phone!

  • Somehow it reminds me of the Tripods intro

  • love it!

  • love it!

  • love this

  • Is there a longer Version from this cool 80s Intro song? I like the syntheizer Touch. Retro=cool

  • If this retro fringe was on TV in 1985, I would definitely love it!!

  • Personal Computing? Don't make me laugh.

  • @Merobotz

You didn't know? Steve Jobs was investigated by Agent Dunham's predessor. :)

  • Music in 1985 intro is really awesome!

  • the hand in this movie has 5 fingers. in the real one it has 6 fingers. wierd ^^

it's probably the cause of the technology in 1985. but haters gonna hate :P

  • Almost all the things from the old fringe have been achieved

  • best intro ever!!!!!!

  • Personal Computing ... lol looks like we got that one gaiz or I wouldn't be on this page right now.

  • Awesome. But we have achieved invisbility tech??

  • @smoothbanana; Somewhat. But we haven't discovered cold fusion either.

  • @smoothbanana According to some articles I've read, they're extremely close to achieving it in the military using some kind of light technology. But the tech is super expensive.

  • ok the music of the new episodes is much better

  • I do the cabbage patch to this every time I hear it.

  • i smell epic future flashback episodes

  • This video will kill me ahahahahha

  • personal computing, I laughed my ass off

  • @snilrach Maybe Verdana was created in the 80s in a parallel universe.

    Also, Hooray for Design!

  • Walternant made 4 accounts to dislike this video

  • There is more than 1 episode with this intro, wait for it ;)

  • @JayEm225 episode 3x15 "Subject 13."

  • hahahaha! GREAT!

  • J.J. Abrams and whoever designs the intro (same guy who did the title sequence for Star Trek) are so creative! I love all the original title sequences!

  • @FantasticBlueGirl Creator is Andrew Kramer.

  • @evotik Andrew Kramer is a genius!!!! I ve learned alot from him. He's Awesome!

  • @FantasticBlueGirl i dont know the new music themes for fringe are way better

  • Created by Andrew Kramer:D

  • BEST EPISODE EVER.

  • ok i feel a bit stupid

but was there a series in 1985 and the modern one is a remake or whats going on?

  • @adamcbourke no, this was a special one-off episode in series 2, you saw some interesting events which laid the ground for all of the crazy stuff happening in the fringe world, I won't give it away, but you should watch it if you're a fan of fringe, it's kind of a landmark epsiode!

  • hahaha great, which episode is it?

  • @KnuffelAnni Season 2, Episode 16

  • Fringe's 4th season is coming in this Fall.

  • @evotik I just jizzed myself.

  • 0:19 I found an error...Verdana typeface was created in 1996. just saying.

  • @snilrach That's funny.

  • @snilrach Well maybe it was around on the other side by then?

  • @snilrach, that's not an error. Obviously they stole it from the more advanced alternate universe, just like mobile phones :)

  • @snilrach how do you know? maybe it was a secret advanced government font that was invented before its time.

  • @snilrach

But it was fringe in 1985 smart455!

  • @snilrach Yeah, Verdana was created in 96 in ... this universe. In the parallel one, it seems to have been created much earlier :P

  • @snilrach It's not an error, something something time travelling aliens.

  • Comment removed

  • @snilrach Walter must have somehow traveled through time to the future to get that typeface.

  • I love this one! =D

  • isn't there a extended version of this one?

  • This intro was one of the saliently fun moments of the show thus far. Season 3 has been really cool but Season 2 was the best synthesis of story, science and weirdness. This intro really exemplifies that. "Fringe" may be the most underrated show on television. It is hands down the best show on television (I would argue that is better than LOST b/c it knows how to do something LOST didn't: Have FUN and not take itself so damned seriously).

Has anyone got the ringtone? Does it work?

  • Wow, that was kinda funny lol

  • what does 1985 mean?

  • @kfwc034b10 In 1985, Walter Bishop kidnap the Peter Bishop from the other universe.

  • @evotik nooooooooo! you have "spoilered" to meee!! why i read comments!!! :,(!!! (sorry for my stupid english)

  • @mrkrokki I'm sorry :)

  • @mrkrokki you fcking idiot:))

  • 2 PPL WERE BORN IN 2000's

  • I wonder when/if they're gonna get into robots and androids and stuff like that...

  • Wow, some of these comments are epically stupid.

This is BRILLIANT. I was literally in AWE when I saw this the first time.

Speaking of epically stupid, just noticed it says stuff like 'nanotechnology' and 'IVF'...brilliant. In my defense: in awe the first time.

  • I orgasm everytime I play AND REplay this. I LOVE Fringe!!!!

  • Génial le générique!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome!!! and @ soapman222 hahahaha.

  • awesome!!!

  • Love how technogy has come so far that science fiction is science fact. Yet we still live pretty similar to 50 years ago. Still living in house, driving cars, office job and school. I would dread a totaly unnatural digital enviroment.

  • They should make whole songs out of these intros imo. :)

  • r there really episodes from 1980???? o_____O

  • hahaha lol x'D

  • I love this music.. is a fantastic melody.

  • I love this!! AMAZING!

  • Is it just me or does this seem eerily similar to Quantum Leap...during it's run DURING the 80s? I'd say pretty good job capturing the decade. If Fringe had been on the air then (probably too risque, but still), I could easily see this having been its intro.

  • There should be an 1985 episode focused solely on the other dimension. And they should put a red retro opening on it.

  • Fourth season is a go!

  • Love this.

  • Andrew Kramer pwns.

  • We want more 1985 episodes Mr. Abrams!

  • @evotik I think that is good. The thing that meke we loves this episodes is that they are not many. If they made more 1885 episodes, that will be exeptionnal. Like if it was christmas everydays ! That make all the things we like (like 1885 FRINGE episodes) is that they are rare, we don't have them evrery time !

  • @conol77 You mean 1985, not 1885. If it were 1885, it would be alot ... stranger.

  • @xxxanimepopxxx

Yes, sorry ^^ We ar enot in BTTF ^^

  • @xxxanimepopxxx

Yes, sorry ^^ We are not in BTTF ^^

  • @evotik I'd even say "We want 1985 more episodes Mr. Abrams!"

  • @evotik AGREED! maybe Walter and Peter will be working on something at the Twin Pines Mall.

  • this retro version rapes the normal one!

  • I totally laughed- did you see that?

    0:02 - "Personal Computing"

0:05 - "Laser Surgery" Theres more but, those two made me laugh the hardest. I love this version so much! I want more 1985 episodes!

  • You just went full 80s. NEVER go full 80s.

  • The coolest part is that they put just names of what people in the 80's thought were science fiction, like "personal computing", "cloning", "laser surgery" etc... :D

  • Ah, seeing it again (for when Peter met Olivia for the real first time) was quite a relief, and an awesome moment.

  • Anyone else notice the VHS-style distortion at the beginning and end of the intro? That's my favorite part of this clip, very subtle.

  • @Frizzbloo If it were VHS there would be colour bleed.

  • MUY COPADO EPISODI... ME EMOCIONÉ

  • I love that they brought back this intro for the episode a week ago. I mean it makes sense, with it being one rooted in the past. Fringe definitely pays attention to detail.

  • @evotik stay FRiNGEd!! :))

  • I love it.. :)) <3

  • Amazing idea, A+.

  • ma questo edi centanni fa

  • Anyone know any retro songs like this?

  • Did you guys notice the older toys from the 80s in the toy shop? That was cool too.

  • @acroyear1 RETRO BATTLESTAR GALACTICA IS FTW ( SO IS THE RECENT ONE)

  • I think they always should use this intro, it rules!!

  • @ TVperson1 - you said to ken1w that you were not sure they would have been capable of some of the things in this title sequence in 1985. Duh. That is the whole point. They specifically picked "things" that were at the fringe (i.e., just beyond what is currently possible). Look at the regular opening credits - do you think Pyrokinesis is possible in 2011? Today's "fringe" is tomorrow's reality. Get with the program.

  • bloody BRILLIANT!

  • Any 1 know how I can get this as a ring tone pls?

  • @vicious76 Plug the headphone socket on one computer in to the line in socket on another and record it.

  • @vicious76 just download the sound file from the video.

  • the 80's theme is way better than the others.

  • haha the best part (musically) besides the synth is the drums right at the end

    Doo-do-da-doo-do

  • i loled

  • Since we're coming up on another prequel episode, you think we'll get to see this intro again?

  • @TrapezoidalDinosaur I was wondering the same thing! ^^ I think it would be very nice.

  • @Twanou258 Tonights was a Pre-quel. (25/2/11) Episode "Subject 13"

  • @evotik why come you no have tattoo?

  • @JemSwordman I like the tattoos.

  • I wish there was a longer version of this fringe theme..

  • to illustrate my point: see these titles: youtube(dot)com/watch?v=kbdjx1MYPtc

  • This is alot like the BBC's Tomorrow's World programme

  • i love this. it's so synth-licious!

  • i like how they use different intros. this one for 1985. the red one for the alternate. i bet if they did one based in the alt. universe in 1985, it'd be red and retro. whoever thought of using different intros is genius. no other show would do this

  • @clarinetluvr811 The whole show is genius. Great characters, great plot development, great story.

  • Best episode.

  • lol

  • an excellent intro for an excellent chapter

  • I loved this =)

As a ringtone it would be super, savvy? xD

  • @evotik I think it has a better chance on Fridays than most shows do. The X-Files was on Friday Nights and it lasted 9 seasons. Fringe attracts a similar fanbase.

  • fringe is acttualy old ? but this is remake of that old show ??

  • @L7MuSiC no. they redo the intro based on where we are in the series. when we are in the alternate universe its red because red is the color negative of blue. its retro because we are watching a walter flashback from the 80s.

  • @lostroxanduknowit that's so cool....I'm from Croatia and here we are on season 1 =( but show is awesome !

  • this is the best intro and if u notice they use topics such as stealth technology and in vetro fertalization topics that might have been so called "fringe science" back in the 80's

  • @GamerMGO Makes you wonder what's possible, doesn't it?

  • I think we all will be seen this intro again soon....

  • I'm almost certain that the first successful in vitro fertilization took place in the '70s. So in 1985, it wouldn't really be considered "fringe" science.

  • i was so surprise when they use this 80's style music...

    so nice...

  • The light is Africa and the green plaint reperesents the Annunaki snake demon breast sent here to watch us...They are THE WATCHERS! :(

  • In this show, Bell would have founded "Radical Dynamics"

  • well we still can't be invisible.

  • Haha realize how all those things are already possible today? xD

  • @2010Zdawg Wow, you're smart.

    That's the point.

  • @2010Zdawg Yes. in the retro opening, some of the words that fly through e.g in vitro fertilization, cloning, personal computing, laser surgery, etc are actually the technology that we have today. The retro opening is based on the year 1985, which does not have that type of technology.

  • Gave it fringe really at 1985?

  • I like how the frigne sciences are changed too, like cold fusion and personal computing xD

  • @werewolf9205 Retro stylez!!

  • me recuerda a la Iniciativa Dharma O_O

  • Uau!! es verdad a mi tambien!

  • You know it's very smart on how they adjust the opening depending on the episodes content. (See Opening modification from blue to red when the episode refers to the alternate universe and this retro opening when the episode refers to the past!)

  • this is season2 ep16

  • 0:05 The background is pollen. :)

  • the begining background reminds me of TRON!

we've covered everything except nano technology

  • @CefiroGuy3 And cold fusion.

  • The episode for this aired on April 1st so when this intro came on, I thought it was an April Fool's joke. Maybe it was...who knows? ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Funny thing is that most of those subjects were already achieved by todays society! xD

Let's see if we can do the same in the next 20 years with the current intro.

  • This should be used from now on! I like the current intro, but this one is just too cool!

  • I wish I could get this as a ringtone.

  • @evotik i kno and it sucks because walternate exchanged olivia and the alternate olivia's memmories and now it sucks because she's goona b stuck in the alternate universe cuz she's the alternate olivia!!!!!!i'm so anoyed at walternate!!!!!!HE'S SUCH A FREAK Y DID U SEND THE ALTENATE OLIVIA TO THE REAL WORLD INSTEAD OF TORTURING THE REAL OLIVIA!!!!!!UUURRRRGGGGGRRHHH!!!HATE U!!!!

  • @thespecialgirl100 Kick back, Pop a chillpill and relax. Then rewrite that comment.

  • hahaha nice ..!

  • I can't wait

    I want season 3

  • screw that new intro, the old one was so much better

    <
