I have always loved this song and this band, but the video should have been made in the Northeast where the band is from(Lancaster, PA). To see those ugly downtown buildings in L.A. does not do the song any justice. I picture Karen and the band on a field in amish country. On a side note, I have wished for a long time that they could get Steve Brown(the drummer) back in the band. IM needs drums, cause they need to rock out again.
This is the first time I've seen this video since the single was released all those years ago. It's a lovely video and one of their best songs. Well worth the wait!
A fantastic song, and it's great to finally see the likely inspiration(s) for it. I found this single on an LP in a discount bin in a CA record store about 15 years ago. The B-side is a live track titled 'Curious'. And only 49 cents, to boot: pretty lucky discovery. This band deserves much more recognition (and the opportunity to make about 10 more albums) than they have so far. Too bad for A&M records.
The local college station played this a few times. I wanted to hear more but there was no youtube back then. Thanks for posting.
