  • Thanks to my jazz teacher I learned about this guy. Wanna know the first thing I learned about this guy? How he died. It sucks that's such a horrible way to go.

  • Love power!

  • I saw him live on stage in Lake Tahoe when I was about 7 years old. He mainly did characters. A sort of Jonathan Winters lite. They were both in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World".

  • Dick Shawn from the city of Lackawanna N.Y. borders Buffalo N.Y. to the south. I love & miss his. La Chaim!

  • 1986-and no one i knew had a computer and he's spot on predicting what will be in about 10 years.

  • He'll always be Sylvester from Mad Mad World to me. Great dance moves...

  • @wuzcloopin You hear bells, baby? How's about a can a beer?

  • I may be wrong yet I think he was a genius. He, I think, was underated because he made us think. People in general don't want to think. People want everything handed to them without a thought of why it is they're doing what ever it is they are doing. Dance clown dance so to speak. What makes me laugh is, not only what he's saying, but his emotion about what he is saying. An unsung hero for sure.

  • classic

  • Snow Miser

  • Poor guy, died like Redd Foxx, everyone thought it was part of the act, but he was dead, so sad.

  • This guy was the best!

  • I love Dick Shawn. He was Hitler in the original The Producers. RIP Dick Shawn.

  • He's coming to save you, mamma!

  • Max Bialystock: THAT"S OUR HITLER!!!

  • An underrated genius!

  • pretty effin genius!

  • yessir. Good stuff. 1986...could be yesterday.
