there is another band that did this song called st. stephen was on youtube a while back wonder why it's gone little deadish compared to this version seek it out
@frozenroby the band doesnt exist anymore, they made 2 or 3 songs, only this one still goes around as far as i know and their website doesnt exist anymore
ive loved this song forever... it really pisses me off that its like annonymous i swear i could hear neil young in here i can tell you it has nothing to do with phish or the dead.
@engeljakob Actually, Plastic by Nature was a Grateful Dead album as well, hence the confusion. Song is about being in Vietnam. Did a paper on it in college. Total awesomeness.
@Huskybeast00 Yes, the dead have an old album called plastic by nature, I own it! It doesn't have this song. This is some band called plastic by nature. Why does everyone ask who did it. It says in the title, after all!
@engeljakob it said grateful DEATH? hahahahaha sorry but i noticed u wrote that instead of dead, it made me laugh, nothin personal or anything, it was just funny.
I listen to more Dead than anyone on the planet and it's definitely not the Grateful Dead. I downloaded this song and it said it was the Grateful Dead but the band is really Plastic by Nature. Awesome song though. Love the lyrics
lol this song is now a net legend i have it said phish , dylan and neil young all contributedt to this hahaha! whoever it is well done lads yas have created such a myth and yeah not a bad song....so badly played though its good very moreish!
I had this song before at one point, it said it was by bob dylsn, phish, janis joplin, gratefuldead etc...all of them...idk who else...I havent been able to find it since.
I've been looking for information on their work and identity for a few years to no avail. Did you guys ever see the episode of 'Pete and Pete' on Nickelodeon, where 'Little Pete' is riding his bike one day and falls in love with a song being played by a random garage band? He never found any trace of the band after that one fateful day. Comrades, I think we may have a similar situation on our hands......
No, I haven't seen any other PBN recording. Maybe PBN even didn't existed, cose when I've downloaded this song the band name was Grateful Dead(and after that was Plastic by Nature).
This is AMAZING! THankyou for seding me the link to this :)

this is plastic by nature, NOT the grateful dead. if youve ever heard the dead, youll notice immediately it sounds NOTHING like them.
if you downloaded this song off limewire or a something similar, its probably tagged wrong, as it was for me.
