Biehn deserves more recognision for his many wonderful performances in iconic movies like The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, and Tombstone. In my opinion, he outshined everyone, even Arnie himself, as the battle scarred, hard as nails Sergeant from 2029 sent back in time to the 80's to save the mother of the future.
Hes my favourite actor, with Hicks my favourite ever movie character. Though hes been out of favour for 15 years and will probably never return to the big time (after Grindhouse flopped big) he stars in 2 films often voted in the worlds 100 greatest in Aliens and Terminator. He has that, and its more than 99.99% of other actors will ever manage. So thoug I feel sad Im also happy.

Incredible actor, not given justice at the academy awards for his various roles. It's such a shame, because he was one of those 'actor's actors' that defined the 80s. Also... is it just me or is Biehn's character (Lt. Coffey) in the Abyss (1989) ridiculously hot?

Michael Biehn deserved better of Hollywood than what he got, though he did get to be a part of two of the biggest sci-fi/action/horror franchises of all time (Terminator and Aliens). He'll always have that distinction.
I also notice that both characters Reese and Hicks are quite similar they both like older women, they like women who are quite indepentant and can fight for themselves, there both soliders, both are badasses, the perfect heros and they die at the end of the movie! :)

Yeah, I understand that he had beginnings and was obviously a teenager at some point, but I didn't mean "man" in a physical sense. Just that he doesn't seem "battle hardened" enough when played by these guys. I mean, he was just a little kid when judgment day occured so hes no doubt seen alot of action by that point, but subsequent portrayals just dont seem convincing of this fact. but I will agree that Antons character was the much better of the two.
Whats with all the little kids they keep getting to play Kyle Reese in sebsequent additions? So ridiculous. Kyle Reese is a MAN. The MAN who gave Sarah Conner (one of the baddest women in cinema next to Ellen Ripley) her strength! Jonathan Jackson (from the series) and Anton Yelchin (from T4: salvation) seem like pansies to me. I hope whoever takes over the Terminator reigns next gets with the program.

Biehn deserves more recognision for his many wonderful performances in iconic movies like The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, and Tombstone. In my opinion, he outshined everyone, even Arnie himself, as the battle scarred, hard as nails Sergeant from 2029 sent back in time to the 80's to save the mother of the future.

Hes my favourite actor, with Hicks my favourite ever movie character. Though hes been out of favour for 15 years and will probably never return to the big time (after Grindhouse flopped big) he stars in 2 films often voted in the worlds 100 greatest in Aliens and Terminator. He has that, and its more than 99.99% of other actors will ever manage. So thoug I feel sad Im also happy.

i love this video, it is five minutes worth of fantasy. both the bad ass love story behind "terminator 1", and then the hard marine in "aliens", OMG is right, yummmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i must admit , michael biehn plays my favorite of all characters in those two films, that i enjoy fantasizing about, then it's daniel day lewis in "last of the mohicans", thank you whomever for making this video!

Incredible actor, not given justice at the academy awards for his various roles. It's such a shame, because he was one of those 'actor's actors' that defined the 80s. Also... is it just me or is Biehn's character (Lt. Coffey) in the Abyss (1989) ridiculously hot?

Michael Biehn deserved better of Hollywood than what he got, though he did get to be a part of two of the biggest sci-fi/action/horror franchises of all time (Terminator and Aliens). He'll always have that distinction.

I also notice that both characters Reese and Hicks are quite similar they both like older women, they like women who are quite indepentant and can fight for themselves, there both soliders, both are badasses, the perfect heros and they die at the end of the movie! :)

Hicks dosnt die at the end of Aliens. Sadly he does in the beginning of Alien3.

OMG i love this video Michael Biehn is so gorgeous and a great actor! I think that terminator 1 and terminator 2 wer great but terminator 3 was crap i pretend that movie doesn't exist! Also aliens is my favourite out of all 4 of the movies! He is one of those actors that made a few great movies even though he didnt make a big name for himself but that whats make him more of a great actor and he's more talented and I will always remember him and always fancy him!!!! :)

this guy played kyle reese perfectly. the guy in salvation sucked. he wasn't hard enough. this guy was badass. the new actor ruined the character in the movie. does anyone else agree?

Kyle Reese was 32 when he got send back time to safe Sarah.
But Wikipedia is not always right

Yeah, I understand that he had beginnings and was obviously a teenager at some point, but I didn't mean "man" in a physical sense. Just that he doesn't seem "battle hardened" enough when played by these guys. I mean, he was just a little kid when judgment day occured so hes no doubt seen alot of action by that point, but subsequent portrayals just dont seem convincing of this fact. but I will agree that Antons character was the much better of the two.

Whats with all the little kids they keep getting to play Kyle Reese in sebsequent additions? So ridiculous. Kyle Reese is a MAN. The MAN who gave Sarah Conner (one of the baddest women in cinema next to Ellen Ripley) her strength! Jonathan Jackson (from the series) and Anton Yelchin (from T4: salvation) seem like pansies to me. I hope whoever takes over the Terminator reigns next gets with the program.

Michael Biehn rules!!! You're right, he really did make The Terminator a major blockbuster movie as it turned out.
He was also great in Navy Seals with Charlie Sheen. I wonder what he is doing these days in Hollywood. Hope he's not a stinking statist/commie like most of them out there.

Did you know that his Reese character right down to the look was the inspiration for Solid Snake from the Metal Gear games. For a while he was in talks to play Snake back in the 90's for a proposed Metal Gear movie but unfortunately it fell through.

Michael Biehn is a really great actor. And he starred in my two favorite movies! Terminator and Aliens. Wow, the funny thing is he almost didnt even play in either of those. He almost didnt get terminator because he additioned with a southern accent. and he was a last minute replacement in Aliens for another actor.
