  • gardai are token arseholes for this kind of thing my uncle was following my nannys amubulance to the hospital he was pulled over for speeding told the garda the circumstances he was givin a fine 3 penalty points and never got to say goodbye to his mother as she passed away while he was held up by gardai.

fuckin useless !! could be out keeping drugs off the streets but no brave gards for pety crimes. this is what our taxes are for... were being robbed.

  • @TheJWalshVlog cop on to ur self speeding is NOT a petty crime speeding can and does kill people yea its regretable that he didnt get to say goodbye to his mother but why didnt he get in the ambulance one family member is allowed to travel in an ambulance with a person and maybe if he wasnt speedinghe would have got to say goodbye because the gardai wouldnt have had to hold him up!! and if he killed someone in a car crash do you think their familys would be ok with an excuse of whyhe was speed

  • oh no some talentless thomas cook staff lost their jobs, boohoo! stop crying about it and go get another job! 'can ya say dat as gaeilge pleaasseee' little scumy cunt

  • 1000's lost their jobs but never did this ,....send them on a one ticket to Afganistan

  • The Former Thomas Cook employees were trespassing.. Simple as.. The Gardaí had full right to arrest them.

  • Scumbags - and I mean the protesters, not the Gardaí. If they hadn't broken the law in the first place, this wouldn't have happened.

Being made redundant does not give you an excuse to flout the law.

  • hang on, so if i do something, and im arrested, my wife should be allowed tag along? get a fucking grip. of course her husband wasnt going to be allowed go with her.

  • If you didn't have this protest he would have been with his wife all along. It's your fault for engaging in a pointless protest in the first place..

  • was harassed by a garda yesterday, scumbags

  • As one of those arrested , I can assure you we did not abuse anyone,110% peaceful, THE GARDAI TREATED US VERY WELL !!! NOONE WAS DRAGGED OUT.

and I am proud to have stood up for myself and my colleagues - ain

  • @2010raytc you get my respect for been able to say the gardai treated you well its good to see some people still understand the garda are only doing their jobs

  • that is fucking bullshit that the pregnent womens husband couldn't come with her. its not as if he was being a problem.

  • the cops are pigs for a reson, they dont give a fuck about anyone

  • @burnfort1 these are garda not cops lol

  • The Gardai in this country do not give a shit about the Irish people only who there masters tell them to attack and its always just the people at the bottom never the scumbag bankers because there all Brian Cowans buddies he takes care of his own and the rest of his scumbag TDs . All you have to do is look who is running the country and see who the real corrupt people are.

  • if your fucking pregnent and you know your about to have a baby dont do a protest why you are liable to be arrested you knackers. serves her right for no common sense

  • PS everyone seems duly concerned about the pregnant lady.Rightfully so,hang on though WHO asked her to stay in the premises, especially as she was late in her pregnancy.Seems to me she could sensibly have left of her own accord. Some of the employees here seemed to be enjoying it all, especially the woman with the strong dublin accent who was complaining that she couldnt hear the gaurd. Another user here made a good point,in another country, the protesters would have been handled much more roughly

  • The gardai AND the workers were, and are, simply pawns in a bigger game. The game made of our economy by an inept and dishonest government and banking system that ran a healthy statae into the ground. These are the people to be annoyed with. And the property investors who took ridiculous loans they could never repay and are now being allowed to renege on them.Ordinary people are paying for their greed.Direct your anger in the right direction

  • Two sides to any story.

The Gardai had NO choice. They were called and they have to call to the location where the report is from. Its simple. The very people who disagree with this would be the ones to moan 'oh why dont they do their jobs?' WHEN they do they're criticised. Before anyone asks NO I'm NOT a garda, nor have I any in my family.I'm just making a comment. OF course I disagree with any indiviidual using violence in a peaceful protest..garda or otherwise

  • Saying that those workers Were trespassing! Its that simple.Their issue was with their employers re unfair dismissal etc.Locking yourself on their premises wont work despite how angry you are at the time. I realise there are bullies in the guards, like in any job, people who like the powere tec. These people must be weeded out. However the majority are ordinary people. People in this video are sayuing the gardai kicked in the door, sorry but how else would they get in?!

  • they are trespassers and therefore breaking law. in anz other countrz the cops would baton them senseless

  • Uh no, they wouldn't. There's a difference between trespassing (a civil matter) and criminality.

Those people had a right to be there (they were employees) and Thomas Cook ltd had to get an injunction to force them to leave.

That's why the guards were there being all nice and above board. They were peaceful protesters and If the guards had gone in there and battered them the people would have sued them.

  • what was this about?

  • Why is everyone abusing the Gardai in this video. They did nothing wrong. Everything in this video was peacefull and nothing bad happend. Insulting the Gardai for what they do here just makes you sound like a scumbag.

  • i agree with you

  • Correct

  • @matttuck5 your a scumbag....

  • notsogood230 your spot on,as usual the messenger gets it.

  • fucking law dogs...law dont go round for bertie ahern and all the fuckers that made ireland bankrupt now do it?

  • was the husband there the whole time shame on him

  • lawless fuckers

  • whats the protest about

  • well done to the workers for being dignifyed principled and peaceful. for what its worth i agree with what they did. (note to others planning similar action)

  • as always the gardai in the middle get the blame. if your gonna criticise them your an idiot. a lot of the attention in these comments and other videos are just pure garda bashing because people dont like the cops. ok we get it! i happen 2 know that the arrested people were treated really well in custody & the husband was brought over to the hospital 2 see his wife & baby.if u want someone to blame please look at ur local TD. look at your government. & look @ the people u work for.this may b u

  • +1 GOOD POINT

  • pointless and unproductive, get back to training and educate yourselves in the skills that are actuallly sustainable in the irish economy going forward - populist bullshit will not sustain or create one single job - it might get a few more members for the socialist pary, but won't solve a fucking thing in the real world.

  • Just a question, why are you all remaining silent as the cop reads out something (I presume an injunction?) it is normally best not to be aware of the terms, no?

  • Fada 126, You are one thick boy if thats your reading of whom the Gardai work for but then someone who threatens rape is a dangerous person anyway. Its clear that your respect eor females is non-existent....stupid prick!!!!

  • My God what a stupid remark...we go to the Gardai when we are mugged raped ect because....we pay their fucking big salaries...that's why...they are actually supposed to WORK FOR US....not work for the multinationals who rob and abuse our workers.

  • the garda dont work for us they work for the government and do there best to uphold the law, its not my fault if your to stupid to realise that the stupid cunts in the video broke the law by refusing to do what a judge ordered them to, much in the same way they will have to arrest me after i dont do what the judge says and go back to your sister for another go.

  • it's etc not ect!!

  • All the stupid ejits on here complainin about the garda!

And yet who are the first people you contact when your robbed?

who do expect to keep you safe at night and uphold the law so people like me cant punch you in the face, take your money and rape your girl.

FUCK OFF AND GROW THE FUCK UP, YE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES TO BE GOING THROUGH HARD TIMES, MOST OF THE STUPID CUNTS IN THIS VIDEO ARNT EVEN IRISH AT ANY RATE!

  • Why would they're being Irish ,or not, matter in this issue?

  • because if you botheres your hole to read the comment i was replying to then you would see that one of his points was about multinationals coming into ireland to rob and abuse irish people. ya ejit.

  • Why did you's ask for it to be read in Irish?

  • to be awkward!

  • can u read that again pleas ....no,,

  • These people are an absolute inspiration! They will not back down like most former workers in other companies around Ireland. How can the Thomas Cook executives get away with this?

  • stupid proletariat at it again, fighting for a job in thomas cook, what failures

  • Come on now, you're only rising the dust!

Jobs are hard to come by so people cling on.

Thats not the worlds greatest job but then whats out there at the moment thanks to the idiots running this country? The criminals running the banks and the blagger builders

  • I'm actually one of the firemen/ambulance crew in this clip, fair play to the workers involved in this dispute, solidarity to the workers, the gardai had a job to do, but was bit of overkill involved here! Am stunned by some of the comments here from people who very obviously have never had to fight for their rights, lets hope that they never have to suffer the indignity that was brought on these people, they probably nicely tucked up in Daddys company and will never have to fight for anything!

  • Well said. It's very easy for those in their ivory towers with their silver spoons to throw stones at the rest of us, who have to out and struggle just for the right to work. The Thomas Cook workers are an inspiration. A sincere thank you to all of you.

  • Is this Dublin or China, China I think..

  • some of these comments are a disgrace... a 43% share in thomas cooks was recently acquired by the royal bank of scotland and 2 associates, the result? 'streamlining' of staff... a company with 450 million in profits a CEO who awarded himself 7 million.. the workers were right to stand up for share of the wealth THEY created...either the law breaks the workers or the workers have to break the law.. i know which side i'm on...

  • there is HOW many people on the live register????? HOW many people have lost their jobs???? why are these people acting like spoilt brats! get a grip on yourselves! wasting Garda time, News broadcasting time....! and tell me where exactly will it get you ????

  • while i sympatise with the protestors, they have been ordered by the court to stop what their doing, they have not stoped and so the garda HAVE to arrest them. its as simple as that.

  • your damn right, stay silent, keep your head down, and above all, OBEY YOUR MASTERS ORDERS,who wants to live, when we can just exist....

  • This is a magnificent struggle against the recession. Your struggle is an inspiration to workers faced by redundancy everywhere. The garda can rot in hell.

  • garda only keeping law and order.

  • Remember that the Gardai are being primed for much more of this in the months ahead...time to stand up to those kind of tactics...they are the fascist arm of this state...pigs...grunt...grunt.

  • im gonna rape your sister and your mother. who ya gonna call when i dump there dead bodies on your doorstep?

Whats that? the garda is it? but there only facist pigs? i bet your 16 years old, which would make your sister around the same same age with a (hopefully) nice tight ass! :) whooo wheee im gonna have me some fun tonight!

  • I salute the Thomas Cook Workers. The Garda are unionised and have job security They should get organised and refuse to carry out this sort of operation in the future.

  • Well done to all the Thomas Cook workers, their fight was inspirational! To call them "money grabbing louts" is pathetic to be honest, and easy to do on the internet. Any of you who I was lucky to meet over the few days were honest, sound people merely attempting to achieve a fair redundancy package from a company that sees nothing morally wrong with a £5 Million bonus for a CEO.

  • cops are in for statutory redundancy?

  • fair play to the bravery of these men and women standing up to the might of the multimillionaire owners of thomas cook and the high court.. an inspiration to workers everywhere...

  • can you say that in Irish, os gaelige...

i can't hear yeh, can you say it again..

fuckin eejits... get a life.. waisting garda resources... 100 gardai to deal with you knobheads. do u not think that those gardai could have been utilised else where?

  • absolutely they could have been utilised elsewhere. the whole operation was completelt pver the top. THey man handled the PEACEFUL supporters outside who were aggressively removed. These women and men were also peacful - they even say it in the video.

They are an inspiration to every working person in this country.

THE WORKERS UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!

I hope Garyh u never find yourself in that position, looking for the support of your fellow workers.

  • I am one of the proud workers standing up for our rights who got arrested, you're correct Gardia should and could have been used elsewhere, 100 for 28 travel agents anyone would think we where terrorists!! ridiculous , I see 2 men got shot while this went on , Shame on you Gary, Thanks to the majority of the public who supported us

  • They weren't the one's wasting garda resources, it was the wealthy owners of Thomas Cook that got the Gardai involved to be their bully boys, and do their dirty work, instead of sitting down and discussing the issue.

  • Great stuff, this puts down a marker, if you fight you can win, whether its more redundancy pay or saving jobs.
