8600GT is a GDDR3 version with 512mb.

nah you don't know what is "to run a game like shit", i have an 7300 LE on an Core Duo 2140 1.6Ghz. Yes, THIS runs EVERETHING like shit. It's worse than shit. Belive me, it suffer to play any game at the lowest settings and sometimes even with tweaks, and I can't play with more than 20 fps. GTA IV? Well, if I put 2.000 tweaks and put on the lowest settings, with the patch, I hae something like...8 fps at houses and 4 on the streets. Be happy about your sistem xD

Otherwise, upgrades won't cost you much if you know what you're doing. With at least $200, you can upgrade your core and memory and card to play GTAIV in Medium to High.
