Does anyone now what i need to do to get the TCAS working because i cant get it working or the map my Transponder is set and is at the TA / RA postion and every thing is how it should be but it'sbeing a ******. Can anyone help:(

Turn the 2 BAT switches and the little Battery switch inside the little hatch. turn the thing that says OFF, AUTO and BAT to AUTO. Go to the FMC, click on MENU, go to SIMU then SELECT NEXT PANEL STATE and click on ALWAYS ON or something similar. That hould work for you tehere after
go into settings:aircraft then switch it to 2d cockpit and load up the plane it should b on the 2d cockpit and then switch it to vc and it should show up

yeah youre right based on the systems and what y9ou can do, but they should seriously fix the "Heavy" feeling to the flight dynamics, the real 747 isnt like that
the guy who programed the guages emailed me and said u must input data into the int pref page on the fmc. once all those blanks are filled the l and vnav will work. this is just for anyone who is having problems with the l and vnav button
additional in the problem with not in database typing the airports, the index window in Nav data doesn't appear (AIRAC-0511), and in co data doesn't appear (DAF-0511),it must appear, i think that it is not linked with the nav data folder but i don't know how to link it please help me
um jake- isnt it CO ROUTE no go route? anyway weve got the same prob- when im setting up th flight with dep arpt and arr arpt and flight no. etc.. it says CO ROUTE and i have no idea what that is??
its short for "company route." when airlines fly the same routes over and over again they store a bunch as co routes so you dont have to type the waypoints in. 1. it saves time and 2. the more buttons you push.... the more chances you have to screw something up and fly to the wrong place
ok i figured out all oft hat in my preveous comment but when i go to vc view in an ifly 747 thats in an airline most of the screen is either gray or black
to cidkk if yer screens r completley black and yer running fs2004 install fsuipc3 if yer running fsx like me install fsuipc4 if its lit up but u just cant understand it then dont ask me!

For better frames you can: Fly without Vc mode, and for better flight dynamics you can merge the ifly 2D panel with the posky model.

try altering the aircraft.cfg file to use the default B744 .air file instead.

CO ROUTE is a route that you have saved. When you make a route you save it, and it saves you the time of entering all the waypoints again.
I'm not sure if you can save them on the iFly version but thats all it is on the pmdg.
