Mate thats the best ive ever seen. was dam near impossible to get to know how to make a flaming speaker all the others come up is shite either building units for aftermarket speakers or baking foil with a penny and forums ect. perfectly explained, great quality video i understand evrey bit of it. I would be lost without it. nearly gave up finding out. Id go try it out in a day or 2. all i need to know next is amplifier and its going to be a JOB. well laid out man nicely done. :D

does the amplifier have to be plugged in

@JulietteWalcott Yes, it takes the signal and boosts it. you could hook the two leads up to a mini jack but since the signal is not being boosted it will be quieter.
