YOU ARE RIGHT... THAT IS GERARD DUPERVIL.... THE GUY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN WHO SING "CONFIANCE " IS TI DOLPH LEGROS, ANOTHER MEMBER OF JAZZ DES JEUNES.
For God's sake, I'll say it again and again >>>>> This guy who is singing above with the accordion is not the real Gerard Dupervil, who played in Jazz des Jeunes....
If you want to see the real Gerard Dupervil; his picture is right on top of his daughter's Gina Dupervil on the right side of this page... Do you see where it says Gerard Dupervil - Confiance on this screen >>>> That is the real Gerard Dupervil and his daughter Gina sings Lanmou Nou pran Dife...
Also, Gina Dupervil is Gerard's daughter, according to my mother. I personally don't like this song on this page. But, Gina has a series of beautiful remixes of his father's songs that are not posted on YouTube yet.
If you guys want to hear and see the REAL Gerard Dupervil, Click next to the song "Confiance" on this very page on the right hand side of this screen... That is Gerard Dupervil's Voice and Picture posted by AboboPouLi... Gerard Dupervil sang in Jazz des Jeunes and he was a friend of my mother's back in the early 50's....
My mother thinks this guy sings Gerard's song very well though...
Back in the mid 1980's when I was in my 20's, I had the opportunity of meeting Gerard Dupervil, and got to spend quite a bit of time with him. In fact, since he was already blind at the time, I used to take him around town in the Brooklyn area when others could not take around. Sadly at the time, I wasn't in awe of him, because I didn't realize his accomplishment in the realm of Haitian music, since I wasn't much into Haitian music at the time.
Now that I am of course older and wiser, I have a deeper appreciation for Haitian music, and i often wish that other non Haitian could be exposed to Haitian music as well, because they too would enjoy it.

Wow i remember listen to this masterpiece at the age of 6 in haiti every sunday with my parents -- Retour du temps, What a voice; this guy were our own Nat King Cole -- the most beautiful vocal.
Autre temps, autre moeurs. Bonne annee!
MANMAN-DIDINE ALWAYS LOVE TO SING THIS TUNE AND, I ALWAYS USED TO LAUGH AT HER FACIAL EXPRESSION LOVE U GREAT,GOD BLESS U ADINNE.
