Was just staying there afront of the stage,, listening to this,, got amazed,, been listening to Andrteas since..

  • Just a superb piece of music and recording. I havent heard it for a long time...but hearing it back, well, just timeless....but I knew that when i heard it the first time...some music can't be beaten, and this is one of them...so glad we had the 70's and 80's...the decennia where GOOD (pop)music was invented...Vollenweider was one of those remarkable musicisians that kept you fascinating...I don't like/ am impressed of all of his work...but this one is maggic to me. A soul healer...

  • This man is great. His music is so soothing. It is like living in a weightless medium and your senses are tuned to the maximum joy.

  • OMG. I LOVE THIS SONG. IT IS SO SOOTHING AND HEALING. IT REALLY HELPS TO SOOTHE THE NERVES.

  • Perfect..."The Play Of The Five Balls" ....not "The Glass Hall"

  • My all time favorite Vollenweider song...Thanks for putting the song up...But, what's up with this video? Sheesh! very interesting vieo of telephone lines and roofs : (

  • I would like to dedicate this to the memories of all our beloved that we left behind in 2010.... MTSRIP.... We will forever cherish their memories and hold them in pure treasure..

  • One of his best ones! ♥

  • i love this song! when i was young on road trips my father would listen to this tape and it would make me daydream... very enjoyable and soothing.

  • extremely beautiful

  • @michel1835 Yes , yes , yes !

  • This was my very first song to hear from him and instantly fell in love with it. The odd time signature makes for an interesting feel.

  • Six people don't have souls.

  • I love this!! The sense of freedom and power that this cut generates, unbelivevable. Makes me feel as if I were a bird, soaring high with the wind gliding me. Does anyone know what is sang towards the end of this song???

  • Great music

  • a wonderful masterpiece!!

  • ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER!

Mon meilleur musicien. Chaque morceau me rappelle quelque chose ou me fait penser à quelque chose de spécial: la vie, la nature, les humains, la mort, l'amour, DIEU etc.....

J'ai découvert ce musicien en 1987.

  • awsome soul stirring my mate used to have this album i,m in ecstacy

  • Sweet very nice sound...!!! :)

  • my mums muisic :)

  • One of the concerts I have ever gone to, totally magical.

It was wonderful...when the set was finished, it took about 10 seconds for the audience to come back to earth, than there was a 10 minute standing O. Than they came back and did a 20 minute oncore. Beautiful!!!

  • Even if I can't imagine paying to attend a concert of what essentially is background music, it really is the best of the best background music there is. I have three of this guy's albums, because we need background music in the background of life. This guy Andreas is life's soundtrack. Nobody get offended that I said it was background music...some would use my favorite music in that way. It helps people meditate and feel good, so it rocks.

  • jakas muzyka szatansko brzmiaca ale mi sie podoba mimo to

BOSKIE-DIVINE !!!!!!

  • One of the best ever seen ;)

  • My math teacher would play this music during tests. No wonder I aced them all.

  • This track brings back memories from the '80's - we discovered Andreas V because he was being played while we were having a drink in a taverna which was right beside this beautiful beach. It wasn't called"ambient" or whatever back then. He was well before his time.

  • this is art of music, this is anime of music...this is color of music...great!!

  • This piece of music was something I would listen to before an exam at university. It calmed me, got rid of my anxieties. The bit that sends me into a tranquil bliss starts around 4:00. TY Andreas!

  • bonnie

why in the hell would i want to know that?

    you sausage

  • Hi Ckendler, i love this piece of music, its so wonderous.

    Sorry if you were offended.

My wife will only make love to me to the sounds of Andreas Vollenweider. The only other artist she will become sexually responsive to is the James Last Orchestra,

May i ask what does it for you?

  • bonnie, she's having you on...last time she done it with me, we were doing it to eminem

  • this is the music i listen to when i meditate and pray

    Thank You.

  • This reminds me, I need to get CDs to replace my old cassette tapes of his albums...

  • *This is also my favorite Andreas song...the Collaboration of Instruments is amazing...the Rise and Fall of the music sections reminds me of the Rise and Fall of the beautiful Waves of the Ocean...just BREATHTAKING*

  • by far my favorite AV song , well crafted song w/ a lot of feeling .

  • This from White Winds and if you don't have it, get it. It's well worth the admission price.

  • @ckendler I remember the 4 of us toasting, circa '85, and jamming this album in the dark. I saw all kinds of cartoons scrolling madly...

  • I love this song. It takes me mentally from a Native American tribe lands to India, to Asia.

  • è come volare senza ali....

  • non potevi esprimerlo meglio! :)

  • andreas: you are a part of my life!!!! I love your music!!!!!!

    regards from zürich!!!!!

  • I believe that this piece has so many pics. in the minds of the people that love it, for me it was a time of friendship,a warm house in cold but beautiful place, a cup of hot tea with a good friend, an enlightening conversation. Andreas Vollenweider is my favorite composer of New Age/World music since I was in my 20's. Glad you like it too.

  • Why is it that for any "contemporary" harp (except for Debra Henson-Conant)you have to go outside of the US? (and struggle to get the recordings to the US. I'm glad Andreas continues to break the "pretty" harp barrier.

  • "White winds" "Behind the gardens" and "Caverna Magica" belong to my vinyl-treasures since i was 13yo. These tunes spread a certain magic and has the power to take ones soul to enchanted worlds, where elves, dragons, wizzards and all this stuff are real.

  • I love this!

    fdo..Marcelo B...Nashua Instructor...jeje

  • If I should go to heaven when I die this mans music is what will be pumping out of Gods stereo. To see Andreas live is to wittness a man channeling the divine.

  • @kikolani2

You are a person after my own heart! I love this man and his music. It has the power to heal!! So glad to see your comment. I agree completely. His music will be playing in MY heaven!!!

  • i wonder if harpo marx is jealous, or if andreas was inspired by harpo.

  • love the hair andreas, keep harping!

  • i went out and bought this album, when i heard him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in the early 80"s. i was merely 17 years old and his music stuck to me...i immediately went out and found out that we had a neighbor who gave harp lessons and i begged my parents to let me take lessons...needless to say i became one of her best students and she had all adult students..now i am giving harp lessons with andreas in the background as inspiration to my young students from ages 6-18. i love him

  • you know, it's rare that you pick out a vinyl because of its cover and it completely blows you away... right when i heard it at home i ran back to the record store and bought whatever other vinyls they had of him. what amazing music.

  • the most superbly written pieces in 5/4 time i've ever experienced. his phrasing is magical and his trasitions, SEAMLESS

  • You are right! This is like the song that I think of when I think of Andreas! It is my favorite! The White Winds album is my favorite! He is a MASTER!

  • I think the same with you, andreas is too my favorite and the white winds is wonderfull . do you have more?.

  • OH YEAH! In my prized collection I have an autographed copy of Kryptos. Me and my stepdad went to see Andreas at the music hall in Tempe, Az. He autographed the C.D., the piture of his face in the album jacket and a 10 x 10 inch square of the album cover. They had them taped up all over the music hall. People were pulling them down for Andreas to autograph. He also signed the ticket stub. I took all the items and had them framed in one big instillation. It hangs in my music studio! AWESOME!

  • Einfach nur schön, und zum geniessen!

  • Thanks for this, White Winds is my all time favourite AV album, first heard it on a reggae bands PA system at a gig it totally blew me away. Also recommend Behind the Garden....a great journey, even had a hardcore Punk Rocker appreciating it heheheheh!!!!

  • this song reminds me of strolling down on a street just before the sun rises on a very nice warm day by yourself and drinking in your atmosphere. I love it

  • reminds me of sunset at cafe del mar, san antonio ibiza!!!!!

  • Back to the 80`s :)

  • This brings back nice memories of listening to his beautiful music. Thank you for posting!I first saw him perform on the Johnny Carson show years and years ago. :O]

  • Thank You for posting this , I can feel the white winds...
