@thesilenthack It's a whole new console, backwards compatible with the wii. That is what the new controller for the console is expected to look like and do. It is scheduled to be released in 2012.

i like how nintendo is trying to push technology farther there is just one problem though... all this advanced technology isnt going to mean shit unless they actually start working towards the games themselves. i like the wii but the games do nothing to hold my attention, i got got my wii and it was great for about a month, sadly that was two years ago. ive barely touched it since.

@Moony122092 Yeah, the thing I hated about the Wii was the lack of 3rd party support. Hopefully it'll get games from other consoles due to the controller not being a motion sensitive dildo.

Most gamers who complain about the wii outselling the xbox 360 and the ps3 doesn't realise that the hardcore gamer group isn't that big.

Does Nintendo actually think this is a good idea or are the so stubborn they won't stop making gimmicky bullshit. Yeah, it's sorta impressive at first but soon enough the novelty will wear out and you realize people just don't want to go through all the effort imposed by motion controls to play a fucking game. Not to mention the cost of those new controllers must be HUGE so if you want to play multiplayer in a game that requires 2 or more of these you're pretty much fucked.

@iamtheonemrg Developers actually aren't going mad over the MOTION CONTROLS...

The ability of it being a second screen for stats, maps, and extra things like weapon switching to clear up your TV with only action and the controller being used for everything else. It being a microphone for online gaming and stuff, the motion controls are a PLUS. Also multiplayer isn't done with the tablets it is done with a tablet and the wiimotes, only like 1 game developer is talking about 2 tablets that is EA.
