A sad loss.Phil was so much more than simply a Heavy Rock musician.He remains unsurpassed as a lyricist from the very first Thin Lizzy album and he possessed a rich baritone voice,unique to Rock music.Add to these his individual heritage and strong presence ,he was a natural band leader and performer with charm and creativity.
He seems very frail for such a young man. The drugs really seem to have been overtaking him at this point. He seems barely in control of himself. It is a tragedy to see the great Phil Lynott reduced to such a state. At his best, he was a true rock hero.

Perhaps people hit the dislike button because they dislike the way it all ended. I remember Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy in the 70s and boy were they exciting. It was sad to see all that power and energy seemingly fade away, with Phil, it seemed to me, being abandoned and neglected. He just seemed to be robbed of all that unbeatable sparkle and confidence. The only person who could shout Manchester United in Liverpool, as a Liverpool fan I thought he was magic. Can't believe people dislike him.
