  • sure xbox 360 has a lot of performance and gameplay....but pc has a lot more graphics and all depending permormance....but pc tends to crash a lot....but xbox 360 freezes...i would say they are both great...i am a pc person that admits he likes 360

  • Aweasome !!!

  • and what's that rig?

  • I´m not using a cracked version.. and for me.. After playing for 15-25 mins.. it just exits the game.. I use 64 bit.. and it´s my guess that 64 bit os is the cause of the :(

It´s really destroying the gameplay for me:(

  • 64bit isint created for gaming get the 32bit and get better crack or patch it

  • ROFL. Yeah right, that's why Half Life 2, Crysis (all 3 games) and just about every new game coming out support 64 bit. This is like saying 32 bit wasn't made for gaming (originally it wasn't) and that we aught to play 16 bit or 8 bit games.

  • I wish people knew what they were talking about when they say "THis can run on the Xbox 360 or PS3". Maybe on extremely low graphics settings, but with full dynamic lighting, (This means the suns light, The lightnings... light, your flashlight is all processed in real time. That is some serious strain even for top of the line PC's) It would Chug on a console. (ALso for some reason, I don't know if anyone else has found this but the god rays on this game kick the crap out of your FPS) hmmmm

  • While I'd agree with you for the most part as far as FANBOYS supporting a "this can/should be ported to consoles" theory..... (due to their LACK of knowledge in programming, hardware, software and API's)....I"d have to also disagree. 360 CAN support such games (and while not at maximum capacity it certainly won't be to a degree of low and unplayable graphics at all). 360's GPU and architect was based on 3rd generation shader model 4 (dx10) stream-pipeline technology befo dx10 came out for PC

  • @chirlakato Their actually going to port these games to the 360, Wii, Ps3 and maybe psp.

Look at their site or wiki it, the made recent agreements to do so.

  • I highly doubt they'll even attempt to code this type of game at all for the Wii...the Wii is less powerful that the original Xbox. If they used/marketed the same TITLE published "Stalker" for a series spin-off of the original PC exclusive using a complete different engine or conform to a standard RPG requirement..than it may be possible, but NOT with this engine let alone the graphics and gameplay associated with it's PC exclusive. No porting/optimizing/coding in the world would do it justice

  • Actually nvm replying.

  • @chirlakato XBOX 360 supports only DX9!

  • @GordonFreeMANness

No it doesn't, it's a custom design with a custom API and OS........read up on it. While it's not quite the full fledged WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) which was created for Vista and DX10 (BASED off of 360's prototype hardware) Xbox 360's GPU has UNIFIED architecture (a feature only known to the generation of DX10 GPU's)...secondly it clearly states from microsoft, and ATI that it's Shader Model is shader model 3.0+ (notice the plus). It's neither DX9 or DX10.

  • @chirlakato That's DX9.

  • @GordonFreeMANness

No... it's not. You just completely ignored everything I just stated. DX9 doesn't utilize UNIFIED shader architecture since that coding is not written to be utilized in shader model 3.0.....it uses the DX9c algorithm standard of dedicated pipelines which is less efficient on DX10-only applications. The Xenos GPU in 360 uses Shader Model 3.0+ with a unified standard that produces DirectX 10 EFFECTS in real-time. No know DX9 card of app can replicate that, so it's NOT dx9

  • @chirlakato XBOX 360 cannot produce DX10 effects. Any videocard card replicate Xenos.

  • @GordonFreeMANness Well, any DX9 card.

  • @GordonFreeMANness

Okay I'm done talking to you, you're a complete idiot who has ignored every documented and cited FACT I've just stated about the Xbox 360's custom hardware and software API(s). I'd figure you'd do the obvious thing if you were skeptical and google the facts yourself from sourced material ALL OVER THE WEB.....but you clearly didn't. Unlike you I actually KNOW for a fact what I'm talking about and I was merely ENLIGHTENING you since you obviously don't know it's capabilities

  • @chirlakato Capabilities of that console are nothing but extremely poor. And it doesn't support DX10. You see, Microsoft could state they were going to enable DX10 to their product, but they never did so. As for the tesselation, Radeon 8500 can do that too.

  • @GordonFreeMANness

Wow you're an idiot rofl. You obviously don't do research or pay attention to what I'm talking about....... and I never said a thing about Tesselation or that 360 USES the DX10 PC-standard API (Seeing as it's NOT a fucking PC, my point I've been making the whole time)... smh This debate is done, you're clearly an idiot and i'm talking to a wall.

  • @chirlakato Direct[Xbox/360] has THE SAME architecture as DX8.1/9-capable PC. So it's just a really slow PC!

  • @GordonFreeMANness

Once again you prove how much of an idiot you are and how much research you DON'T do. The Xbox original was the ONLY console in existence to have ANY type of parallel correlation to a PC-standard hardware as a template. Everything in Xbox 360 is custom-made dipshit from it's 3.2GHZ IBM triple core CPU (ALL running at 3.2GHZ EACH CORE unlike ALL multi-core PC variations), it's GPU and EDRAM and it's CUSTOM operating system. DO your reasearch dummy. I'm done with you.

  • @GordonFreeMANness

For you to (after ALL I have been saying in each post) to respond with "Xbox360 has the same architecture as DX8.1/9-capable PC" shows how low your knowledge is in both software, hardware and coding of API's. You just blatantly failed in comparing APPLES to ORANGES from two different generations. Every hardware piece in the 360 is CUSTOM designed from it's EXCLUSIVE GPU to it's CPU, OS and DirectX API otherwise PC's would have EXACT replica's available on the market idiot.

  • @chirlakato Triple core CPU, overclocked Radeon 1950 XTX, 512 DDR3 RAM, DVD-ROM drive, Windows 2000... I think you can build such system without any problems, really.

  • @GordonFreeMANness

You say "Triple core CPU" and Overclocked Radeon as if it's the same fucking thing as the PC's architecture. First of all, it's "Triple Core" cpu you said so lightly has NO OTHER "Triple Core" Cpu that comes close to it's exclusive tech dumb ass. As I said EARLIER, theres NO MULTI-CORE CPU to date that runs 3.2GHZ EACH on EACH CORE e.g. Core 2 Quad 6600 2.4ghz does NOT run 2.4ghz on EACH individual core. (Contiuned)

  • @GordonFreeMANness

Secondly, you keep proving how ignorant you are just because you ran on a tech-spot page and dread the basic hardware on the 360. For you to say it's an "Overclocked" radeon 1950xtx you're even dumber than I thought and STILL haven't grasped the fact EVERYTHING is custom made as I've said for the tenth time. The PC RADEON XTX actually has a HIGHER clock than the 360's 500MHZ first of all dummy, and the x9xxx series has NO unified architecture AT ALL or DX10 "FEATURES"

  • @chirlakato What kind of a GPU are you talking about? Xenos is based on R500 architecture, right? And you're basically saying that R500 DOES not support DX10 features. So how is you current point of view differ from mine?

  • @GordonFreeMANness

The Xenos is a custom graphics processing unit (GPU) designed by ATI, used in the Xbox 360 video game console. Developed under the codename "C1,"[1] it is in many ways related to the R500 desktop PC graphics card series and therefore very similar to an ATI Radeon X1900 as far as RAW (e.g. core speed) performance are concerned. However, the Xenos introduced many NEW DESIGN ideas that were later adopted in the R600 aka 2900XT (DX10) series.

  • @GordonFreeMANness

My clear point is that you are so ignorant you're consistently FOCUSING and COMPARING the RAW processing performance of Desktop GPU's and the Xenos and NOT the actual (QUITE DIFFERENT) architectures and custom DX API coded SPECIFICALLY for the 360 and it's CUSTOM OS. E.G. what GPU has TWO silicon dies with embedded EDRAM or ANY shader model 3 card with UNIFIED SHADING algorithms like the XENOS besides the ONLY DX10 cards on the market (e.g. 8800+/2900+)? My point exactly.

  • this game crashes on loading shaders with dx10 settings on for me, anyone know why? It's not my gpu (gtx 280)

  • same error here.

I don't know what the heck is causing such anoying fail. Dx9 shows no probs.

    I have a pair of 3870x2 crossfired and Vista 64 no SP1.

  • Does screen transition take a long time for you too? Like after you apply settings do you get a black screen for a long time before going back to the main menu?

  • I got the same here with a pair of GTX260.

I suppose is a bug of 1.5.08 OR 1.5.08 crack OR a incompatibility with Vista x64.

I set the graphics to the setting before DX10 (i don't remember the exact name) and i set all settings in Advanced menu to the highest.

I get no difference with the DX10 enabled or not :) :)

  • Windos Vista SP1 fixes 99% of graphics related issues. Such a pitty... I resisted myself to install it but it's the only way to get games to work fine.

FarCry 2 is now OK, STALKER ok... BUT at15% of gamespeed lose. In Chile we say "One for another"... See ya!

  • Same crash here with my HD 4870X2. Vista x86 Bit SP1. So it's neither a problem with x64 Bit nor with the service pack. I also have the blackscreen issue. Annoying -.-

  • For me it was the crack for the game. So I bought it and that fixed it. If you're pirating same deal I'll bet. Does CS use multi gpus btw?

  • To be honest, i actually am cracking and I already thought, that it is a crack-related issue. However, I think, I'm gonna buy the game. It's such an intense Game; let's give it some credit ;)

    Thanks for your reply :)

  • oh sorry, I overlooked your question. Anyway, as far as i know, it doesn't support multi-core CPUs, but multi-core GPUs don't have to be supported in order to work with them, I think. Correct me, if I'm wrong but I never heard of a multi-GPU support being necessary.

    So long ;)

  • How about latest patch?

  • This game rocks on my pc on full graphic(directx 10) Don`t even need a super pc to do it ;)

  • This is great because my computer isn't top of the range but can still run the game at medium graphics levels, however if you do want to use DX10 and the high levels of graphics you do need a more powerful one, but the game accomodates low powered ones too, It has the same mimimum spec as the first game

  • This fucking game demands a PC that doesn`t even exist yet

  • HAHAHA! That's funny. Like the game would ever run this smooth without crashing or glitching.

  • This looks cool how in the heck did they do that smoke? The game looks badazz hope the npc chicks can do more;)

  • STalker lagged like hell on ym computer and I dunno y.

  • Clear Sky will be available for the 360.

  • No, it won't.

  • Incorrect. The GSC devs have 360 development kits, and have expressed that they'd like to see STALKER come to consoles.

Whether SoC or Clear Sky will be ported, or if it'll be an entirely new STALKER is the only question.

And to the dude who said the 360 can't handle Clear Sky on max graphics - it can, and probably better than the PS3 can, as the 360 has a smoother running processor.

Also 600 dollar GFX cards aren't the only things that determine how well a PC game can run.

  • Dev kits mean nothing, that has nothing to do with specific games, but rather with the engine. There are no plans to release it for 360 as of now. The graphics card means about 95% when it comes to presenting a game the way it looks. You can't compensate with a good processor. The 360 can't handle Clear Sky on max graphics and thats a fact. The PS3 has a way better processor than 360 so that's a terrible argument (PS3 is harder to develop for but both processors run equally SMOOTH).

  • A GFX card means a lot when presenting a game, yes, but you also need to factor in RAM as well. Not enough RAM, and your game is gonna lag like hell.

And your argument about how the 360 can't handle it is the worst I've ever seen. The 360 has been proven time and again to run games better than the PS3. Look ups some spec charts.

Anyway, most of the DX10 features in Clear Sky can be found in numerous 360 games already. Gears (and Gears 2), god rays can be found in GRAW and CoD4.

  • Granted everything plays its part but the gfx card is by far the most important for accelerating a game. BTW, Xbox 360 had 512mb shared between system Ram and VRam which is ridiculously little.

I'm not saying the PS3 could run this game cuz it can't either. The PS3 with a well developed game can run way smoother than the 360 regardless of what you want to believe. The problem is however that both consoles' gfx card is based on 4-generation old technology and this game lags on the best gfx cards

  • hes right it wont. and if for some chance it is, you wont get the full graphics version, the 360 simply cant handle it. however it is plausable on the ps3

  • I don't have a PS3. Damn game should be available for the 360. I mean, the 360 has Stranglehold, Gears of War, Half-Life 2 and it's episodes...

  • yeah but the 360 cant deal with it on max. even the brand new £300 graphics cards for pc's struggle with this on maximum. and the 360 technology is like 2-3 years old now maybe more, and it was always underpowered for a console.

  • The best russian game since Tetris !

  • Its not Russian, its Ukrainian.

  • Hope this game will be highly optimized for any video cards... not just Nvidia's the way

  • This is the most perfect grafic quality i've ever seen in a game, specialy the shadows and warter efets.

  • I think it might even be better then Crysis, will find out in 33 days :D

  • I know it will be better than crysis. As a game, even Shadow of Chernobyl was better than Crysis.
