He has more submission wins than knockouts and he won the European ADCC qualifier in 2005 submitting every opponent. If you want to see his pure grappling search Youtube for "Overeem ADCC". The thing is we haven't seen it in awhile. He prefers to strike. Against Rogers he did show great positioning and top control. We won't know if he can stuff guys like Lesnar unless he fights them though.

@calsavala Its all good man, the UFC owns Strikeforce now and the likes of Nick Diaz have crossed back over to the UFC, Overeem in his last interview was very excited about the UFC takeover so I don't see it being too long before he has a chat with Dana White and they put him against one of the top UFC heavyweights, Werdum just proved that nobody in strikeforce can handle Overeem and Fedor won't fight him or at least Fedor's management don't want the fight so hopefully it will happen. He might not be the same man at 34 as he was at 25 but Fedor is a small HW and Bigfoot has a big, athletic fighter with well-rounded skills. Bigfoot is a good fighter. There is no shame in losing to him. I just wish Fedor had fought Overeem in the tournament.

He has more submission wins than knockouts and he won the European ADCC qualifier in 2005 submitting every opponent. If you want to see his pure grappling search Youtube for "Overeem ADCC". The thing is we haven't seen it in awhile. He prefers to strike. Against Rogers he did show great positioning and top control. We won't know if he can stuff guys like Lesnar unless he fights them though.

@rayj778 it took him almost 3 yrs to get 2 his current weight of 260. listen just because its hard for u 2 put on muscle doesnt mean it is for everyone else. if u look at vids of reem training u can see he does strongman workouts. the food he eats has alot of protein nd he takes the right supplements as well. its all about genetics mostly son. take me for example: late 09, i was about 180. now i currently weigh a lean 280 nd it took just 7 months. no roids, just working out, protein nd water.

Overeem is not as strong as people think. He struggled to take out Brett and it never happened. Took him a while on the ground pounding. Fedor on the other hand went STAND UP punching Brett until Brett got knocked out. So show some respect. Fedor not only faces his opponents like a man he faces them with their own DISCIPLINE.
