it is all the same same thing. you could spell it "di" or "de". you realize it is a dialect not standard english so you do not learn this in school. you do not write essays and use this grammar in class so there is no dictionary spelling for it. it is like bomboclaat or bumboclaat.

we are not taught about how the words originated you know so i don't know where it came from. it is dialect not english, there are no grammatical rules really follow. but you know sometimes di would sound like an e is at the end. like in spanish "mi" sounds like "me".

nothing becomes anything. the word does not change. i spell "de" all the time and sometimes i might just type in "di". it does not matter. why does it matter to you? if you spell it "de" it is the same as "di".
