we have an f-150 with the 4.6l in it. let me tell you, that little engine in a truck the size of the f-150 has a whole lot of punch. now stick it in a sport trac, wow. i want to drive one now.
I got an V8 Black Sport Track Adrenaline its has the 4.6L and its does have a good punch and a good kickstart, but I plan to sweeten it up with a procharger and some new low pro tires... :)

All this is really is a Sport Trac Limited Edtion with modfied body panels and dual exhaust. Nothing really that you couldn't turn a regular Sport Trac into with some aftermarket parts.
Mine was 35,000 MSRP, but got it for 32,000. I'd strongly suggest getting the 4.6L V8 it's 292hp and you get better mpg then the standard 4.0L V6 210hp.
I have an '05 in ClearCoat Black with 57,500 miles on it. I replaced the OE subwoofer with a pair of 6.5" Bazooka subs under the rear seats. I love the SportTrac. You can get full size versatility without the hefty fuel consumption.

@76TomD actually the new frame is based off the F-150, fully boxed frame design and is 444% stronger than the original Gen1 Sporttracs. In my town it is registered under TRUCK plates, the box is seperated from the body like a truck, not uni-body like the Ridgeline - eeek! LOL

YOu can get the Adrenaline V-6 and the 4.6 V-8. The SCT tuner for the Mustang is pretty much the same. Ive got an 08 Adrenaline V-8 2WD with a Paxton Supercharger and the livewire tuner.
wbhite98, You have to get me more info about your super charger. I've done some research and there is really no bolt on kit made anywhere for the V8 explorer 4.6L applications that I can find.
I wish ford would build a ranger like this. 300hp, less than 4K lbs, 24mpg, 20" wheels, and a 6 speed manual, it is certianly possible, and could outrun a lightning.

toyota engines can handle that much power theres hundreds of toyotas in u.s./japan/australia that can top that mostly because of the number of after market parts for that car im sure its in the millions for toyota

nah we just know what a work truck is supposed to do.. and this sport trac is not a construction vehicle. Why do europeans like tiny gay cars that do not haul worth a shit. We have the ability to do recreational things over here like dirtbike, quad, snowmobile, horeseback, canoe, fish, hunt, off road, and many other things that you need a truck for.

It's already out it's been out since 2008. It comes standard with a 4.0L 210hp V6engine or you can throw in the optional 4.6L 292hp V8.
