One interesting thing I'll say here, though: there's a track in the Hybrid Front and pretty much has the beginning part of this track in it (Moon & Mars - Sukarabe Fight BGM 2), and it's composed by Hataya.

The evil zone of pipiness! That being said it was an awesome zone. I don't think there's been a single zone in a 2D sonic game that's been as difficult as this one to navigate.... Doesn't sound like the version I have of this song though, this one seems to be missing echo (or just notes in general)... :s
