  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • it's sounds like a bee or a fly HHAHAHAHAHAA

  • I just found a steel guitar like this (on left) & curious 2 learn more about it. This came up when searching. Can anyone tell me where 2 get more info online? It has a # 89 on it (is it a yr model or issue #)? It was in good condition but neglected & tarnished so I polished w/ brasso. Hope that's ok? It looks shinier & nicer now. Any info or links related 2 instrument is super appreciated! I'll take a photo or video if u want but it's almost exact 2 the one on the left in video.

  • To get more info online do a Google search for "National Tricone Tenor".

The year the guitar was manufactured is determined by the serial number.

  • @WPPTV any brand name on the headstock?

  • @WPPTV That number is the serial number, dating it to 1928. Does it have any engraving? If not, it's a style 1. In this video it's a National tricone plectrum guitar (22 frets). Does yours have 17 or 22 frets? (17 frets is tenor guitar)

  • @ukulelezaza I count 22

  • @WPPTV You probably killed a lot of the value if you used brasso to scrub the patina off a vintage resonator guitar. That's a shame.

  • @lastfirstface

Absolutely. Brasso is an abrasive and removes not only tarnish and corrosion, but metal as well. Some things are better left uncleaned.

  • i like how Ken is about the happiest musician out there and he is paired with Mr. Grumpy-Bear during this song

  • Wow, that is kind of funny. Hey, for a happy guy tearing it up on plectrum check out the clip of Sean Moyses doing "Some of These Days."

  • heavenly!

  • Lovely. Great work, guys! Well, "work" might not be the word 'cause it looks more like great fun!

  • ! good!

    simply wonderful

  • What's the tuning on this instrument?

  • I believe the guitar is DBGC, and the banjo is DBGDg

  • Plectrum tuning (guitar or banjo) is CGBD.

  • Man that is so killer. I have never seen anyone play slide tenor before. Keep on going Aloha, Mahalo and all dat bra. Hey is Lenards malasadas still around. Cary Boyd

  • amazing! i love that sound!

  • Wonderful!
