Whispering Whispering while you cuddle near me Whispering so no one can hear me Each little whisper seems to cheer me I know it's true dear....there's no one but you I'm a singin' Whispering why you'll never leave me Whispering why you'll never grieve me Whisper and say that you believe me Whispering that I love you (instrumental break) Whispering while you cuddle near me Whispering so no one can hear me Each little whisper seems to cheer me Just whispering that I love you
I just found a steel guitar like this (on left) & curious 2 learn more about it. This came up when searching. Can anyone tell me where 2 get more info online? It has a # 89 on it (is it a yr model or issue #)? It was in good condition but neglected & tarnished so I polished w/ brasso. Hope that's ok? It looks shinier & nicer now. Any info or links related 2 instrument is super appreciated! I'll take a photo or video if u want but it's almost exact 2 the one on the left in video.
@WPPTV That number is the serial number, dating it to 1928. Does it have any engraving? If not, it's a style 1. In this video it's a National tricone plectrum guitar (22 frets). Does yours have 17 or 22 frets? (17 frets is tenor guitar)
Man that is so killer. I have never seen anyone play slide tenor before. Keep on going Aloha, Mahalo and all dat bra. Hey is Lenards malasadas still around. Cary Boyd

To get more info online do a Google search for "National Tricone Tenor".
The year the guitar was manufactured is determined by the serial number.

@WPPTV You probably killed a lot of the value if you used brasso to scrub the patina off a vintage resonator guitar. That's a shame.

@lastfirstface
Absolutely. Brasso is an abrasive and removes not only tarnish and corrosion, but metal as well. Some things are better left uncleaned.

Wow, that is kind of funny. Hey, for a happy guy tearing it up on plectrum check out the clip of Sean Moyses doing "Some of These Days."
