  • Best movie you'll ever watch

  • The most beautiful movie i will ever watch

  • The P-51 is the one airplane in the world that should never cease to exist and never cease to fly. If necessary, we should be making faithful reproductions of them a hundred years from now, simply so that there will never be a sky that does not hold at least one of them on any given summer weekend.

  • The airport runway is the most important Main Street in any town.

-Norm Crabtree, former aviation director of Ohio

I SURE AS HELL AGREE!!! BRING BACK MEIGS FIELD!!

  • How can you dislike this song, it's so beautiful, it touches my soul everytime I listen to this impressive song. ♥

    Tears from Switzerland

  • Bought this on itunes a few days ago. Already watched it twice :)

  • Just ordered this from amazon, cannot wait to see it. Just this sequence alone is truly inspiring. What better plane to begin a story about the romance of flight then a Cub.

  • Brian, as selfish as this sounds, thank God you were born color blind and couldn't pursue a career as a professional pilot. Had this not been the case you would have likely never made such touching documentaries on the miracle of flying. You somehow manage to capture the "feeling" of flight on film which is another miracle in itself. THANK YOU!

  • This is one of the few things that chokes me up. Only a fellow aviator can understand what it is like to have a love of aviation. Amazing

  • The only other thing that has ever choked me up like this was that one scene from little miss sunshine where the Nietzsche kid whos dedicated his life to being an AF pilot learns hes colorblind and cant fly. One is beautiful and the other is heart-wrenchingly sad, but they both get me every time

  • pretty sure i had goosebumps from 0:01-3:15

  • just listen to Merlin engine on that P51 at 2:23

  • I love this. Where can I find this music?

  • whats the red biplane called?

  • @filka1996 That would be a Naval Aircraft Factory N3N "Canary"

  • Brian, thank you so much for making this exceptional movie. I can't watch it without tearing up towards the end... It is just amazing, and it reminds us all why we fly, and why we never stop up reaching for those white things up there.. we call 'em clouds.

  • the engine is the heart of an airplane, but the pilot is its soul...

  • Brian: I don't know if you ever check these comments but if you do:

I remember sitting in the back of a International on the way home from the Camarillo Air Show and this young man is telling me his idea about a documentary about KVNY. Dream big, dream often but most of all, don't let go of those dreams. You've touched the hearts and souls of so many.

  • Yeah I agree Kafutunga , I always get choked up :-)

  • man i saw this movie and i just jumped into flying as soon as i could

  • I can bearly get through this movie without crying. It's very intense.*

    *That's what she said! :)

  • If the government has its way....all of this will be taken away from us. Keep user fees OUT of aviation!

  • Wow. I saw this movie in 2007(i think) and now, I can play this song on the piano! I love the vid.... 5/5

  • what is this opening song called?

  • @boing71234567 Its the One Six Right Theme. Exclusively written by Nathan Wang for this film.

  • @FlusiWarborn

indeed it was. Brian asked him to compose a song to fit the movie. Wang explains it with Brian in One-Six Left. Beutiful song eh!

  • @boing71234567 "Dieing Fetus"

  • As an Freelance PBS/Community Lighting/News Director based in Atlanta. I find this to be a stunning Visuals Presentation and a story that is well founded. It is one of this stories that has to be told I And I will go bring this to my station to talk about airing this package. The Music brings you in. Well Done ! JLB Productions

  • This is one of my favorite movies of all time. i learned about it a a Van Nuys Airport air show a few years ago. I was un-sure then yet now i just am in love with the airport and the movie.

  • i <3 this! =)

  • Is this a movie ?

  • It's a runway, 16R =p

  • LOL

  • This is how the non-flying public should be educated on General Aviation.

  • When I watched this with my brother, he told me it was a documentary and I thought I was going to hate it. I'm glad I was wrong. Such a good movie.

  • This film gives me goosebumps each time I watch it - and yes, I've seen it more than once! I enjoy sharing this film with my non-aviation friends in hopes of getting them hooked too.

  • I love this movie.

  • I saw the producers flight with the Blue Angels, and looked up 16R the movie immediately. Without seeing a preview for it, I put it on my xmas list, and got it. I watche dit one night and it was absolutely the best aviation movie that ive seen to this day. And im saddened that Meigs Field was closed for the reason it was. I am an avid flight simmer, and have addon scenery for meigs field, and love to fly out of Van Nuys. This movie is simply amazing, and a must see for anyone into aviation!

  • I saw this movie it was the best movie I have ever seen and downright beautiful.

  • Such a great song. I used it for my high school senior portfolio, and that just pushed the whole thing up a notch. I love this movie.

  • It's so nice, especially the very start... :')

They should use this for the 'GA Serves America' campaign.

  • The music paired with the sound of a Merlin engine is pure beauty.

  • Nothing besides flying or being at oshcosh shows the essence of flying more than this video

  • This is an amazing soundtrack! As I wait for the weekend to get here I can pop this in the player, and I am immediatly aloft!

  • What is the name of the soundtrack?please

  • One six right.

  • I'm gonna rent this movie, this looks very intriguing, and I'm a major aviation enthusiast. x)

  • David Copperfield, Chris Angel eat your hearts out this is real magic!

  • Simply amazing!! I'm emotioned with this video, this movie shows the essence of flying and the passion that aviators have with these magnific birds

  • The essence of flight... they've managed to take every aviators emotions from the beginning of the 20th century till today and put them on film.

  • As a young man who's life dream is to fly, this film hit home for me. There really is no way to describe what flying feels like for me. The sky feels like home, and this film seemed to capture that very well. I made all my friends see it, telling them: "If you want to understand me at all, you have to watch this." I love this film!

  • this movie is great this song make me cry.being a pilot my self it make me want to hit the throttles and fly

  • Another wonderful video!

  • Very nice music too.

  • This is absitively positlutely the BEST AIRPLANE Documentary on the face of the earth. Thanks to Brian and the production team for this masterpiece. I wish this came out on screen, though :(
