  • This is quite possibly the best thing I've ever seen on YouTube! Ever! Gratulalok!

  • Awww that's so cute! My nagymama just passed away last week. :(( aren't they dear?? Thanks for sharing!

  • Will spread the word!

  • Some errors:

    * Játszok a lottón, és ha nyerek, neked is küldök pénzt. = I am playing lottery, and if I win, I will send mony for you. (And it does'nt mean: "Sometimes they watch me When I sleep But sooner or later... I'll get them.") The second translation is almost good.

    * The man, marsoska meant, was Vlad III the Impaler (Vlad Tepes) in the 15th century (see Wikipedia).

The vampire hysteria started in the 18th century in Western Europe, but the folklor is much older.

  • You and grandma have a special bond, a rare treasure

  • Here is the story: Dracula is from the 19th century, and In ththe 19th century Transylvania has been the 40 percent of Hungary. And in Transylvania the population's half are hungarians.

    Me likes,

    SKAR

  • And above all, the language. I live in London and met some guys who doesn't even know a word...it's so sad. Learn it it's worth it I can assure you. I speak English to a fair level and I'm not saying it's not a beautiful language, but to be honest Hungarian is probably the oldest ( at least in europe ) and one of the most colourful languages in the world. Do some research, you'll be amazed.

  • @enrow1 I agree, we should live in peace. But on normal terms. Using your argument, you could also say that a great part of Germany belongs to Turkey, because a big number of turks live there (bigger than that of hungarians in Romania, in percentage and in absolute value). Also, using the same argument, whereever there is a minority in a state, the teritory in which the minority lives is not of the state they are residing, but of the minoritie's state of origin. That's no argument.

  • I love this. I might make a vid with my Grandma when I go back home ( Hungary ) this summer. All you guys on the other side of the big sea should be like Spethanie ( btw your surname is funny Yuhas, originally it's Juhász I guess ) remember your roots, your ancestors.

  • omg, steph that's hilarious

  • This video is brilliant, very well done.

  • Really Awesome Video...!!!

  • This was a really beautiful story. Thanks!

  • Haha thank you for sharing this. Yes, it brings back a lot of memories of our own immigrant upbringing and the way we grew up in a new environment. Very clever and really enjoyed it!!

  • Best part is the nightlight animation

  • This was AMAZING! thank you for sharing a bit of your life, it was beautiful:)

  • so cool!

  • my nagyapi was a hungarian from transylvania too...while it was a part of Hungary

  • Before 1920... Very elderly, hope he spends his days in joy.

  • Ez mi?

  • You are a Doll and so is your Nagymama ! She reminds me of my Polish Babcha :) I;m also from Jersey and have Yuhas's in my family !!!!

  • Wow, lots of replies from rabid Roumanians (sorry about the alliteration). Maybe when they can put a coherent sentence together someone will listen to them. Den again mabee nott lissen anybode.

  • BOZGORI RETARDATI

what a shame to say somethig like that, you are not ready to build a better world. no problem, retards like you are all over the world...

    greatings from a half roumanian!

  • @andaharvey i'm going to say the same to you that i said to my fellow romanian... shut up.. is you have nothing intelligent to say, and obviously you don't, just shut up. And before you attack me, i'm half romanian and half hungarian so i heard insults from both sides... Most people get along and extremists like you are the only cause for conflicts.

  • urban legends lol!

  • fösvény disznó lol

  • Lol wrong translation? She said in the end: "I'll play in the lottery and if i win i will send u money too :)"

And yeah Hungarians not equal Huns... Its true our english name is HUNgarian cause it was a big mistakes in the old times. So the other nations thought we are The HUNS, but we wasnt. But our name, cause of that Hungarian. But the historical fact is we was never Huns :)

And im sure in it im Hungarian too and i learned it in grammar lessons :)

  • Maybe we ARE the Huns..... nobody knows who we really are.... :)

  • haha nice job. its good to see some really awesome stuff coming out of philly

  • 10bani u r probably just jealous u didint had a nagymama, sucker!! long live all the nagymamas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my god awesome! lol

i too had a hungarian grandmother and i called her "nagymami", she moved to Australia before my mother was born along with my Nagyappi, who was a Hungarian Transylvanian

  • Long live Hungary!

  • Hi! Great job with the animation, and your grandma's an interesting person, but what's the point of the video? Didn't get ANY information about Hungary or about culture. (At least that't NOT what your grandma's doing...)

    Take care, greetings from Budapest

  • Every time I watch your Excellent video, it takes me back to my long ago childhood...THANKS!!

  • Ignore the ones who hate it. I love it good job!

  • You ignorant bastards, Transilvania is Romanian. Romanian BY NAME, Romanian BY MAJORITY OF POPULATION, Romanian BY HYSTORY. All you do is lie and hope that somebody will believe you. But nobody does. Iredentist shitfaces.

  • So you say, that 1000+ years ago, Transilvania was populated by romanians. And it's the reason why it belongs to Romania?

Then some parts of Russia goes to Hungary beacause 1000+ years ago it was populated by hungarians.

    You've got a strange conception. :S

  • Dude... Huns PASSED through Russia, and kept on passing, to the Panonian Plains. That's where the huns settled. That's yout teritorry. But just as Russia, Romania is not hungarian territory just because your ancestors passed through. So the strange conception is yours, entirely.

  • we didnt just "pass" through Transylvania. We lived there for nearly 1000 years you dipshit.

  • firs of all the Hungarians don't have anything to do with the huns, because the hungarians are not huns they are Magyar(fino-ugric), just make a simple check of history and second yes the Hungarians are living in Transylvania for 1000 years but they are not alone and there is another nation living there for more then 2000 years.

  • hungarians dont have anything to do with huns? you are telling me? because you just went on to wikipedia and you read a paragraph or two and now you kno everything about hungarian history. am i right? i dont kno what "other nation" your talking about that has been living in transylvania for 2000 yrs... its definatly not romania. romanaia didnt exist until 1859AD. so read some real history before you start talking about shit you dont kno anything about.

  • just because we weren't called Romanians before 1859 it does not mean that we didn't existed.

and yes i will repeat myself Hungarians are magyars not huns.

  • Crap talk... Let me tell you something... Italy was not called Italy until the italian principates united, to form one big country. That's the exact case with Romania. It just wasn't called that, but the people were there for more than 200 years. So don't pick on the name, because that only shows your lack of hard proof

  • I meant 2000 years

  • Justice for Hungary

  • It's just like the Italian people in America would say that Chicago is Italian territory, because italians live there. Or the Chinese in China Town, for the same mather. A minority is nothing more than A MINORITY. And that's what you are.

  • What you people do is called DISINFORMATION. You say untrue stuff and people who read think that it's true, because they have no clue. Well, you can do that. But trust me, Transilvania CAN AND WILL NOT BE SEPARRATED FROM ROMANIA.

  • And AFTER TRIANON, Transilvania was re-united with the Mother Country, Romania. And i say mother country because ROMANIANS WEWE ALWAYS A MAJORITY IN TRANSILVANIA.

  • The huns came to Pannonia, NOT to Transilvania, which was, by the way, OCCUPIED. Later, Transilvania was conquered and made Protectorate. Not a part of Hungary, JUST A PROTECTORATE.

  • Nowhere, but i mean NOWHERE, in hystory will you find a nation simply "go home". Yes, the Roman army withdrew, but some of the romans remained and married with dacian women. It was not an empty territory. It's absurd and stupid to say that

  • You're so funny dude... Do you even read what you write? The dacians romans went home or married to hungarians....

  • just look at the before romanian name towns were mostly all hungarian named towns even maps older then the latin ones show hungarian and germain towns, pre 1500s hungarian, go back to school, u must be a result in ceausescu's teachings,

  • Also, make the analogy: Hitler said that where Germans live, that territory must be conquered under german flag. You people do the same in Transilvania, where you, HUNGARIANS, ARE A MINORITY. You are racists, fascists, and complete idiots. Dixi

  • But with time Hungarians will win, truth always wins with time.just look at the president in romania today, fears kosovo will be independent, want to know why only romania and slovakia voted agaist kosovo being independent out of all the EU countries, because once Kosovo gets there independence then Transylvania and the area known today as slovakia will be in battle with the hugarian population there wanting there independence

  • remember never was there a slovakia and never was transylvania under romanian flagship pre 1920. Talking about roman empire, do some learning on where they are today, blended in with the rest of europeif you look at pre roman empire the Etruscans who wrote just like we do and count just like we do in there runic writings,

  • only people today who still can read and write and count like how they did are us Hungarians so who knows maybe we were the rulers of rome at one time so does that mean we own pre pannonia too hehehegoto school and be proud of your wallachian background, pre 1920 books only bring up romanians as walachians so be proud and stop making up history : ) Intelec cant be destroyed : )

  • By the way, Mr. Hungarian Hystory, did you check by any means the names of the rulers of Transilvania, along with the passing of time? To all people reading this, note that the roolers were NOT HUNGARIAN. What Hungary did was to simply take a territory with force (the force of Austria, by the way).

  • After Trianon, Transilvaia was Rightfully given back to Romania and Romanians reunited. Any person who reads a hystory book (writen anywhere outside Hungary - meaning not only from Romania, but also from America, France, England) will see that you are lying.

  • Anyone who reads a history book after 1920 will get reading from a lot of romanian data that was made up : )

  • .Also, after the retreat,Dacia NEVER remained uninhabitted,as you Hungarians claim AGAINST ALL HYSTORICAL DOCUMENTS.And Transilvania was Allways a Romanian Principate - thus, the majority of people being Romanian, until the Austro-Hungarian Empire forced Transilvania into being a Protectorate. NOT a part of Hungary, ONLY a protectorate.

  • Im sorry for you. If it were not for the wrongfully doings of the treaty of 1920 it would still be HUNGARY : )

  • ...nice...

  • a tükrös poén nem rossz.

  • transylvania is in fact, part of romania. dumbass. Yeah you, "TheRockinCactus"!!!!!!

  • just since 1920 because of a treaty, the and that was only supposed to be a 75 year thing : ) But the treaty was wrongfully done, time will show you who will be in control there , regarding dumbass hehe, we Huns are smart , dont confuse us to a romanian

  • transylvania is Hungary : ) Its just tempary romanian since 1920, go learn history all you romanians that been brainwashed into thinking other wise, also Dacian people were not romanian, romanians are the wallachians, learn your history! Good video btw

  • Transilvania is NOT,and also NEVER WAS part of your beloved Hungary. The Dacians were conquered by the Romans in 106AD,and the two peoples coexisted together until the Aurelian Retreat at about 300AD.The Roman Army withdrew, not all Romans

  • dacians romans , nobody there is dacian. romanians are walachians... Pre 1920 trionon treaty it was Hungary and was for around 1000 years, before that there were hungarians there but yes there were romans from the roman empire most went home back to the roman empire others married in to hungarians and later into germain familys romanians continued to come into Hungary because of better life,

  • go play in the black sea, heck even your capital city copied alot of the french, just a wannabe theif culture, not all romanians are bad, have alot of friends there but even the ones who live in Bucharest say that most the passion of the former president tried hard to make a area that wasnt true romanian land his land, I hope one day the younger population gets to learn real history

  • Guess you learned your history in ROMANIA : ) I was born in the USA went to school in SWEDEN ISRAEL AND HUNGARY AND THE USA, all say it was Hungary, also learn that romanians are walachians not dacians, they just want to be : )

  • @Jan1987RO @Jan1987RO @Jan1987RO I see you totaly dedicated yourself to this issue. And u might be right, might be not right. You still can not ignore the fact that TODAY 7% of romania's population is hungarian. That's 1.5M people. Those people are hungarians and they speak hungarian...etc. So whether "politically" Transylvania is a part of romania or not, in fact it belongs to Hungary.

Wiki it. Btw we should live next to each other in peace. It's Romania who wont let them use the language etc...

  • @enrow1 i don't know what you speak of.... my family if from the heart of Harghita and i can tell you most people speak only hungarian.. not only that but my father (who was romanian and spoke only romanian) would walk on the streets and people would say hello in romanian even thou that was the only thing they knew how to say in romanian...

So stop the bigotry... this fight is fabricated by politicians and extremists on both sides and most people don't care nor pay attention to it! I said it!

  • go see my video of hammerfall

  • The Song Anybody Lol? PLEASE!

  • Very nice!

  • lol Drakula elhajózott New Jerse-be.. XD

Amúgy csak azért csinálta ezt a cipofuzos taktikát mert vigyázni akart az unokájára.

  • Can you please tell me the name of the song that plays when yo tel us that she is from Transylvania?! Not the Hungarian Rahbsody but the one they play whenever someone mentions Dracula in movies, sad to say since i'm from the same place but i dont know wat the song is lol!

  • well animated, and great audio. creatively cute - thanks for sharing!

  • What is wrong with you? Sicko

  • transilvania is in romania and was romanian land since geto-daci

  • whoa!imagine wat u can do eith Easytoon!

  • Great movie!

  • it's so nice to hear someone pronounce Nagy correctly, since it's my last name.

  • very nice. Had it been black lines against a white background, it wouldn't have been nearly as effective.

  • I like this video

  • nagymama=grandma

  • NAGYMAMAAAA!!!! xD

  • all turanians come to turania.c.o.m

  • You know, when "nagymama" is running she talks about 50000 dollars, and something about "your lover" and that you won't get not even a dollar from it LOL

  • Someone criticized your music. True Liszt utilizes a gypsy dance, not true Hungarian folk melodies as articulated by Bartok. But the Liszt gypsy dances were those of the early Hungarian immigrants to the US, and like my parents, I would feel less Hungarian without it. (Go figure)

  • Haha this is so cute!

  • unexpected "professional" quality video...Bravo!

  • So sweet *.*

  • Nagymama translates "big mama"

  • Nagymama means grandma!

    Nagy mama means big mama!

  • I stand corrected. But "nagy" also means big or large, and Nagymama is described as four feet wide and four feet wide! She is a nagymama nagy?

  • Hey, I haven't found the time to listen to the Hungarian language tapes I ordered. But the tapes have to be faster than this!

  • hahahaha i thought this was "naggy mamma" my mistake

  • and anyway...for those who dont know about the hungarian history, transilvania was always hungarian land, and nowdays, hungarians lives there too. we lost this section after the world war 1., because we were fucked up by other contries, like french and romania... ugyhogy elmehet a sutyiba az, aki azt gondolja hogy a románoké volt mindig is.

  • u just thinks so, want to think so cause u were told so..

and u want to convince everyone else how right u r, which is laime. cause if it was true, u hungarians would not fuss so much abt this. just sleep well like everyone else

  • lol romanian's say that Mátyás king was their own....

Half of Europe stole our land's!!

  • El bizony! a sok rohad szőröstalpu kinyalta a French-ek ass-ét. That's for sure

  • Mindegyik kinyalta a French szaros tetves buzi valagát.

Az összes többi ország egy kalap SZAR!

Csak azért tartanak fogva mert tudják hogy többre vinnénk!

  • hát :D szerintem mi magyarok tartsunk össze azért ha lehet. örülök hogy látok ilyen videot :))) GO GO TRANSILVANIA GO GO ERDÉLY AND HUNGARY RULES !!!! :)

  • transilvania is in Romania

  • that scared me. i want that 4 min and 10 sec back of my life!!

  • i love grandma!

  • ha ha :D its really cool i like it ;)

  • It is a very interesting image.

    とても面白い映像だね。

  • I love it so funny.

  • this is funny xD I like it :)

  • thats fuckin pathetic!! wtf is all this!??!!?

  • i was sucked in by lies

  • REALLY GOOD!

  • lol

  • Liar! Hungary is in Central Europe, with Europe's biggest lake.

  • I have argued this many times with no success. It seems that after the iron curtain fell, Hungary was transported from central Europe to Eastern Europe. Hungary is central to Europe, and is therefore in Central Europe

  • So what is your point?

  • My love of "gypsy" music is based on works by Brahms and Liszt. I do not know if Hungarian gypsy music has any basis in authentic folk melodies. (Did Bartok look in every corner?) I wonder if the commenter's low opinion of such music is generally subscribed to by those in Hungary today. It would be sad if such intellectualization (ie. Bartok is more authentic) precluded such individuals from enjoying this wonderful music, which is an indelible part of Hungary's musical heritage.

  • OK, but my question was: what is your point? Where is Hungary (Kodály Zoltán was looked for folks musics with Bartók, so he has found some ""gypsy"" music, which is the clearest folk music of Hungary.)?

  • My point, Pegasolta, is that the Hungarian dances of Brahms and Liszt, are part of the Hungarian musical heritage and should be respected regardless of the ancestry of the creators of the melodies. I don't know if Brahms or Liszt thought their dances were based on "the clearest folk music of Hungary". While I would be interested in learning the answer to your question, my lack of knowledge does not dimimish my listening pleasure.

  • Crap. Why cannot you answer my question? Hungary is here, Hungary is there, etc....

  • Pegasolta, we both know where Hungary is located, and that Transylvania was a part of Hungary prior to WW I. I must plead ignorance regarding in which country of Hungarian speakers, Bartok and Kodaly found their folk melodies, but I seem to recall a reference to Galicia. I also know that Kodaly also found ethnic Romanian melodies in Romania. I am really ignorant of the whole subject, but I enjoy playing and listening to Liszt and Brahms.

  • I really dont mean offense to this, but I'm sorry I have to correct you. It's magyar.

  • Thank you for your politeness. The name "Magyar" was taken, so I opted for similar sounding word. "Mudyar."

  • nice MOVIE

  • That was quite good.

    it was a rib tickler

  • that was nice

  • im from canada....

  • what is this

  • ???

  • omg how sick, but i like it : ] actually i don't really like granny, but that was funny : ) grandmas are cool.

  • De hát miért nagymama a címe?

  • Nagymamas are cool im telling u:)Im hungarian btw!

Any my lil bro just made a fucking booming fart next to me...-.-

    save me granny!!!!!

  • Hey, that was pretty cool!

  • opon to en ingles no hay ningun español -.-"

  • kibaszott parasztok ma este nem basztok :-))

  • What a great story! Holding your breath....Too funny!

    You did a great job.=0)

  • Nagymama? x) This is a Hungarian word... xD

  • ¿what this shit?

  • Very cute. I really liked the music!

  • i love it. i had a nagymama too. although i only visited her in hungary (or when she came to canada) she did tuck me in tightly - but not with shoelaces.

i like the comments too, maybe the real hungarian tradition is going on back and forth about what is hungarian and what is not. haha

    lovely video. congrats.

  • other than the twisted ritual that doesn't exist, it was a cute cartoon.

  • jeez, read the description! She never said it was a ritual of everyone in the country!

  • My hungarian mother tucked me in every night when I was a child, but this humorously takes it to the extreme!

  • Oh, what a distorted view on eastern Europe. Believe me, I am hungarian. I haven't even heard about such a "ritual". I would call this a fiction.

    By the way, lovely story.

  • me too I'm Hungarian as well and I've never heard of such a ritual either. But I'm from the city , ki tugya mit csinalnak a parasztok.

  • being hungarian doesn't insure that you would be familiar

with HER FAMILY TRADITIONS. i'm pretty sure you haven't

stayed the night with a large portion of the hungarian

population to know their bedtime rituals even if you have

    lived your entire life there.

  • that doesn't even make ssense. really who goes around sleeping in strangers houses regardless of what country

  • it's ugly to say that... the fact that you are fr
