Ha ha ha. Well it may be out of date now but that really made me laugh.
Mr Green was on the BBc's own Big Questions the other day propogating his (sadly not unique) blend of Christian bigotry & political rallying. What an absolute cock.
It was hilarious to see how uncomfortable he was when he said gay people can't become "one flesh" & a gay man sitting next to him looked him in the eye & said "oh yes we can"!
So as long as I keep on trying to be a decent person who treats others kindly, I should be OK. It sounds to me like the judgemental, bigoted Christians are the ones who need to worry.
Well said TGB. I sent the cunt an e mail after he incurred costs, to tell him how pleased I was. Its time this bigotted arsehole was put back in the slime hole he came out of. What they practice is nothing to do with religion. They use that as an excuse to be control freaks.
I visited their web site on the advice of AdamaTheAtheist (subscribe if you haven't already) and I was both flabbergasted and appalled at some of the stuff they have on there. To me, their mission statement is a forum to exercise homophobia, misogyny and racism using religion as some flimsy excuse. Amazingly, he isn't giving up even after being stung a few times. It's exactly this kind of fanaticism that leads to people flying jets into skyscrapers.
Dear TGB. Make my day by telling me the BBC didn't cave in to this arseholes demands for reimbursement of costs. There are enough moneygrubbing, talentless wankers draining the coffers already.
Why all the fuss when Jesus was so obviously gay himself? If wondering around the environs of Jerusalem in a dashiki and sandals surrounded by twelve adoring sailors doesn't qualify as 'out' behaviour then what does? Christ, I suppose the 'Messiah' would have to wear leather chaps and a pink stetson before most Christians caught on!
Oh, I think Christians can claim a pretty high body count for themselves. Look at the last 2000 years. What about the AIDS epidemic in Africa, being perpetuated by Catholicism's lies about condoms being ineffective? What about all those young gay people who have committed suicide, or been murdered and attacked for being gay - simply because some set of superstitions says it's wrong to be in love with someone of the same gender.
I know that martyrdom is a key feature of Christianity, but it doesn't wash. It isn't Christians who are being oppressed - they are doing the oppressing.
I don't hate someone for being a Christian. It shouldn't matter to me. But it does because THEY do the hating. Preach love, but threaten and bully and judge - the hypocrisy of those Christians is sickening.
The "prediction" is not supernatural - it's common sense. Go around telling everyone else they're damned, behaving like a holier than thou jerk, treating people like dirt - you don't need psychic powers to predict that pretty soon people aren't going to think much of you.
Look at the examples I've given here of the most hateful, hypocritical examples of Christianity and tell me that has ANYTHING to do with what Jesus Christ is actually supposed to have taught: charity, compassion, love, forgiveness. Can you see that in these people? People who are such great Christians and love Jesus so much that they spend their whole life quoting the Old Testament.
Great video. Unfortunately Stephen Green is incapable of learning. I work for a small family run Welsh press called Cinnamon Press which recently published a book by patrick jones called darkness is where the stars are. The launch was unfortunately stopped by threats from Christian Voice and its media obsessed leader. I really hope that he does pay up and go bankrupt soon and Id be disgusted if the BBC backed down on this.
What took them so damn long to get to this stage with the TV Evangelists. It's been blatantly obvious what they've been doing for years.
As for that Stephen Green guy, I don't see where he got the idea that he was above the law in this case. Surely somewhere in that monstrous book of his it'll say you're responcible for your own actions and have to pay the consequences. And if it doesn't, then it isn't a book worth even pretending to live by.
What amazed me was the flock of sheeple sanctifying this bauble that they had all just paid for. I was conflicted in my feelings - contempt at their stupidity, or pity for the the same.
What a bunch of hypocrites, millionaire lifestyles, private jets, they appear to have come a long way from riding on the back of a donkey. I loved the last comment by that guy Copeland, "you are not going to see the financial records they are not yours they are gods"

I did get a response back from them thanking my for my concern and assuring me that there were no plans to let him off.
As a licence payer, I would be extremely unhappy to see my money used to subsidise these people.

Thanks for the reply TGB. No doubt this obnoxious prick will be sticking his stupid head above the parapet soon, so get ready with the coconuts.....

He has. Complaining about the atheist bus ads to the ASA. He says that we need to show evidence there is no God. Hmm. That works two ways.

The words of Jesus were written so long ago but its amazing how they speak so loudly today.
John chapter 15
If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
No true christian is ever suprised or shocked by the hatred that is spewed out of the mouths of some.
Christians are still being put to death and tortured for following Jesus in some parts of the world.
When i watch things like this it only strenghtens the truth of the bible that Jesus predicted all along.

There is a difference between Christianity and religion.
Jesus often rebuked the religious people of his day.
Not everyone who claims to be a christian is one.
Religion is folowing rules and regulations.
True christianity is walking in love having a personal relationship with Jesus.
I personaly do not believe in attacking anyone.
We are all born with sin (including me)
SO CALLED christians have given Jesus a bad in the past.
I personaly love all human beings.

You sound more like the kind of person Jesus said we should try to be. Unlike the people I referred to in the video.

I thought god was on Green's side. I bet Green must have spent hours in prayers appealing for a ruling in his favour.

I know. I could almost feel sorry for him - "father why have you deserted me?".
Although, if I think about it, I don't actually think I could feel any sympathy.
He probably thinks it's all part of god's plan or something anyway.
Fuck him, he was asking for it.
Let's just hope the BBC don't screw it up.
