Early 90s, Neal Schon on guitar. Summer evening beautiful girl lakeside.Hair length doesnt matter nor does politics. Good times had by most. Enjoy your youth,it doesnt last
saw them live when they opened up for van halen in early 1990's at the palace of auburn hills mich. they rocked didnt know who they were til then but 1st thing i did when i got home was get their music!
went to NEC Birmingham to see Extreme, totally disappointed, they were awful, support group, Hardline - brilliant, loved every second, bought album, loved them ever since
Yeah, they caught the tail end of the hair band days in the early to mid 90s. The guitarist is Neil Schon from Journey. Guitar rock still rules. ROCK ON !!
man! it seems like yesterday I was overplaying this tape in my walkman. I almost forgot about this band when I heard the other song from Hardline( I forget the name) at the ending credits of the movie "Rapid Fire" with Brandon Lee.
Best version of this song was by a little known guy named Danny Spanos. He was a one hit wonder, and I am fortunate enough to have the song by him, it blows this version away.
Great song heard it for the first time last Fridya on VH1's Fridya rock jukebox(or what it's called) heard firt XYZ - Inside out and then this one. Great love it. Who's the blond guy?
Does anyone have or know of where there is a mp3 of this song done by its originator Danny Spanos's? While Hardline's version of the song does rock, it just doesn't top the original cut of it by Danny. I need a mp3 of Danny's version,, PLEASE!!!
Yes it does exist, don't know if you found it yet, I but Bought a one hit wonder cd and it was on it. I will try to find out the name of the cd and reply back.
Great cover of the Danny Spanos song from 1983 which featured Rick Derringer on Guitar and Carmine Appice on drums! Nice touch that they dumped that early 80's synth in the opening and slowed the tempo to give it a hard rock sound.
BIG SONG....

sounds even better than Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and Journey! ;D
sweetmelodies89 2 years ago
Guitarist Neil Schon is known best for founding Journey.
erich84502 2 years ago
true since they were the most commercial successful bands of these two.. tho I think Hardline was and perhaps still is a way better act! :)

Hey, I just like the roughness of Danny Spanos voice. I didn't say I didn't like it. No reason to get defensive...

Hey, Vocals are a little off, but sounds good. My name is Cherie, so, I love it anyway!!

'A little off?'
I dont think so.....most vocalists would kill for this guys voice. I think you should remove all that wax from your ears :-)

Finally heard the version by Danny Spanos and I'm not sure you can compare the two versions.
The original highlites Danny's vocals over everything else, but the Hardline version is much more heavy on production.
Yet the bottom line is that it's just an awesome song however it's done.

Another great but short lived band with Neal.

Joey is still singing with Axel Rudi Pell and he rocks. Hardline released a second album in 2002 not bad but not as good as Double Eclipse.
