I now live in Texas the land of boasting but no REAL rock and Roll. I used to listen to 100GRX in Baltimore to hear CTS and others and 98 rock was only rock. GRX used to play for two weeks day and night and not play the same song twice. I would tell the radio stations here to play CTS or something from the past and the answer is they never heard of it. Two DJs are from Detriot and PA and they tell me Texas doesn't have that type of music down yet! It's a shame.
Pour ma part, cette pièce mérite sa place dans l'histoire. Un classique du progressif expérimental. Il faut être réceptif, et avouons que c'est réussi du début à la fin.
I Like Playing The Game as though The Music..Our Popular Songs Are A Photography of sorts as in the KarMaPhra!...(cars...maps..the lives we are living!)..a communication device yes sounding like The Moody Blues Under A New Name...Jethro Tull? Yes? Genesis? Rock and Roll!..the question!
I remember partying on the ice out on marley creek back in 1979 listining to this song on 8 track with a keg of beer and a 55 gal drum with a fire in it. What ever happen to the days were we all got out of the house and partyed all over the neighborhoods shit we use to have keg partys every weekend now the kids sit in smoke weed and play X box . Im 47 dont smoke no more or drink but i still love my music and playing my gutiar. I will be 80 jambing to old classic Rock.

Just found my original T-shirt from March of 1988,still fits and my daughter got us tickets to the Recher Theater Nov. 18.Can't wait to see these guys again.
Where are all the live clips? did they burn them all? Trying to get the artwork in my itunes for the music was a big issue too. I realize they didn't want to be a part of the establishment but come on now. We fans want to see you. Come out come out where ever you are.
@Groundpounder91 Ain't that the truth. Every song on the first album is the shit.. With their debut 1975 album named Rolling Stone's debute album of the year Crack The Sky should have been a power house band. But album distribution failed. Most of the albums landed in Baltimore where it recieved air play and became a monster hit. So much so, many thought the West Virginia based group was from Bmore. There is still a large following in Mobtown. Life sure can be a bitch!
@drbogo321 98 Rock!....tag the work with YES...tag the work with The Moody Blues?...tag a little Billy Idol to it ha!...who else...a little Peter Murphy? ELO?...but. Rock and Roll!
@drbogo321 ok it all into some sort of a Hash..Hashish...everyone loving it and smoking the hell out of it!...Drew from everyone don't you think?!...(I had forgotten to mention even Jethro Tull!)..but ...WTF?-I ain't nieve...aka Fox'sRock'sCzar...98ROCK is still with it and persistantly cool!...jus caught a Cult hit video on YouTube.."FireWoman!"...you're to blame!....."For Free," Yes?...get there on my own?..the party later? Later.
@foxyroxstar .Ich verstehe nicht..Verstehen Sie? I don't understand WTF are trying tto tell me. Just say it in plain language please. Any language as long as it's plain and contains complete thoughts. I want to understand.
You sir are CORRECT! All these years I could not remember who the hell it was.Even though Chick Corea and his band were tremendous that evening,Crack The Sky was the band I was talking about after this show.Thank you.
fyi: their first 2 albums, Crack the Sky and White Music, were released on CD a while back, both albums on 1 disc, via the Lifesong Records label and I believe the catalog number is 8801-2.
Can't remember who they opened for back in the 70's but I was very impressed.Want to say Jethro Tull but I don't know, sooo many years ago. Anyway, this band was real tight and I became a fan.If memory serves me correct they did a dynamite version of The Beatles "I Am The Walrus"
@SouthJerseyGuy1 Styx, Supertramp, Rush, Foreigner, The Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, ZZ Top, Kansas, Edgar Winter, Frank Zappa, and Boston were some of the bands they opened for. The Greatest Band there never was. Going to be at Rams Head Live 23 April in Bmore.
This is why I listen to long lost, yet still existant, radio channels. Or Deep Tracks on Sirius XM.

I don't know about the distribution problem. I lived in far west Texas when this album came out and am fortunate to have found it. Whole album rocks.
