I am trying to visualize a different sleeve-length, and I cannot picture either full or sleeveless as an improvement.
Full would look a bit matronly. "School-marmish" is the word that comes to mind.
Sleeveless seems incongruent. The rest of the dress is not exactly cocktail attire, and sleeveless would be suggestive. Suggestive of what, I don't know....maybe that the dress-maker gave up before finishing the dress.
And short-sleeve would mar the lines and spoil the visual appeal.
