well if your ever looking to upgrade your pump, look into a 13mm P7100 pump made by Brandon and Randy Hart out of Fayette Missouri. If your enterested let me know and ill give you their business number.
It's w weight transfer sled used for truck and tractor pulls. It weighs about 36,000lbs when the weight box moves all the way forward it is the equivalent of about 200,0000lbs.
It's not too bad if I am easy on the throttle around town. It doesn't even come close to clearing the smoke at high rpm. Haven't dynoed it yet. I did 689hp before the 71 with a Silver Bullet so hopefully it is more than that! LOL
The dragon flows really help with the low end. Mine is daily driven and I can tow fairly well. I've had about 6k lbs behind it and it does fine. Haven't tried anything heavier than that yet.
duramax is supposedly the fastest UNLOADED diesel out there, but loaded definitly cummins. And i havent really ever seen anyone hook up a cummins and a dirty max, so idk but my bets on the cummins.
well im pretty sure its to see who can pull better. But other than that it just fucks your truck up, and im not ever doing it, but ill sure as fuck watch other people do it! lol.
no, because there is so much more to do with winning a tug o war with a truck than just power. traction, the weight in the back, reving it in its torque power range, just the driver. it really is just about the most unaccurate way to solve whos truck is more powerful. tractor pulls are more accurate, but dyno's are the most accurate of course
You all need to take some safety lesson from the NTPA. That is National Truck and Tractor Pullers Association. NO CONCRETE BARRIERS NO THROTTLE KILL CABLES you are all waiting for someone to get killed.
Who says we dont have kill cables? (my truck does) and we are not stupid enought to walk on to the track while someone is pulling. Haven't killed anyone yet.
Thank you that makes me feel better. The Largest truck and tractor pulling competitions are in Tomah WI and Bowling Green OH. Tomah happens in June. The National Championships in Bowling Green are in August. Over 60,000 between competitors and fans at this one, it is a wild time.
i have the same truck his probly isn't stock..when i race mine sometimes it doesn't inject enough fuel and cuts out shortly after take off.. this is you isn't it? well if you know anything let me know
Over fueled diesels smoke like that. It takes a lot of fuel to make a lot of horsepower. In sled pulling you can't use nitrous to burn off the extra fuel, so it smokes.
Reguardless of what Ford says, Dodge been doing trucks right since 1914. My dad has a '63 D-100 with a slant 6, has about 575,000 miles on it, nothing in the power train rebuilt. '95 diesel Ram had enough torque to twist the frame in 1/2. The only reason Ford sells so many trucks is you have to buy a new one every 6 years cause it is wore out, Dodge will run forever, and Chevy isn't even on the radar..
My dad has a 05 dodge Cummins, both are chipped, and the ford dually outruns him on the highway, but off the line my dad has me by a little bit. both good trucks either way.
Im a Ford guy........All I have to say is when I see and HEAR your truck I wanna sell the 7.3 and get a Cummins.........Love the truck love the pulls man.......Where bouts do you pull.......What class ?
Thanks! I pull pretty much all over Idaho, Utah, & Northern Nevada. I may stretch into Washington, Colorado and maybe a pull in Calofornia or Texas. I pull in the 2.8 Super Street Diesel Class. I've got some upgrades for this next season so we'll see how it goes.
Nope, none of the Dodges in that class broke. There was a Dodge in the Modified class that had turbo problems. I think he tried 3 or 4 times. The Duramax got lucky because I have beat him many other times since then. It seems we take turns beating each other.
Ok then. Well there was one dodge that did have to do it 3 times. And I guess it would of had to been the GMC that won. But most Dodges broke down at the finish line that day. So i guess you got lucky to get that far.
I was at this. I beleive that was the only Dodge that went that far and it took him 3 times to make it that far! Go chevy! A Duramax Diesel took the entire thing in this weight class! That night was amazing.
holy shit I've seen a cummins give off black smoke but never that dark. Wish my truck did that lol
