hi, your Epitaph member listing is wrong: Jim McGillivary (drums) Cliff Jackson (guitar, vocals) Bernd Kolber (guitar) Klaus Walz (bass, vocals) is wrong! Correct line-up in this video and in reality (1971 - Jan. 1977): Bernd Kolbe (bass, vocals), Cliff Jackson (rhythm guitar, vocals), Klaus Walz, (lead guitar), and Jim McGillivary (drums). Please correct this error, thank you.
Billingsgate also had the Scorpions (Lonesome Crow) when they had both Shencker brothers. Some of their guitar solos are sic. (Most of Micheals are). This record is a classic as is Outside the Law, the Billingsgate release. Their dueling guitars are so sweet. I saw them at the Hammond Civic Center when they were in Chi town to record Outside. Every song on that record is phenomenal. Then, seems like the next day they were gone forever. What a kick in the ass...lol
Damn! I hate these obscure 70s rock video sessions on YouTube that I occasionally put myself through - they get TOO expensive! The more great music I discover and buy from that era, the more I seem to find!
I was the first DJ in the US to play their music on the radio. Gary Pollack who owned Billingsgate Records was a listener and got me a copy of their first LP on Polydor to play on the air before he released them on his label. He also got rights to release Lucifer's Friend, Frumpy and Neu! on Billingsgate. Krautrock in general got lots of airplay on my show.
Germany was the best country to perform live or record a promo clip. Only in Beat Club you have have these effects. A lot of great UK and German bands performed there...
Yep that Bass player is really high!

No doubt! I lose HOURS searching obscure/lesser-known music, then cross-reference them on Amazon, eBay, and Discogs. EXPENSIVE! :-X

In Germany you can buy all gigs by Beat Club from 1966-1972 on DVD. There are three boxes, each box contains eight DVD'S.
