You are a great teacher. Honestly if you lived anywhere near MA, i would want you to teach me more songs in person. Extremely easy to follow, and you make everything understandable. Keep up the awesome work, and thanks a ton for everything that you have already taught me. Haha. Take care. Oh yea, and keep posting lessons!
hey dude, i've been watchin videos on youtube for a long time now and this is literally the first comment i've ever posted. anyway i just wanted to say that you are an awesome guitar teacher and you explain everything very well. the only thing i suggest you do is step up your video quality. it would make your videos a LOT better. well, thats all i have to say. so thanks for a awesome guitar lesson.
Thanks bud, and I agree, if I could do one thing to make my video's better, a better camera would do wonders. I just don't have the money to buy anything better right now, poor college student syndrome :p
a chuck is when you leave your fingers in place, but do not press down on the strings... it does not play the notes, it just leaves a blank sound. hence... the chuck. =]
Nope, but I wouldn't be surprised if they tune down a half step for the live version, it's generally easier to sing songs when they lower it a half step.
Actually, Illinois. The hat is for Illinois University, I don't go there now but I'm planning on it in another semester or two, they're ranked very well in the nation in civil engineering =)
I might. I like sharing with people how to play songs but I also like to leave some things out so people are motivated to figure out a few parts on their own, training their own ear so that one day they can make video's like this for other songs.
thanks i think you helped. at the library right now but i'm going to try when i get home.i use to not bar the G# so the B string could ring. but now i'm going to have trouble with the first bar. thanks again.
great lesson, now I understand how to play this tune. One thing you could do is have a more brighter lighting so we can see your fingers better. great stuff
Yea sorry my video cam is garbage. I figured that was gonna be the case so I tried to explain it in more detail (I say on which fret and which string each finger goes
why does everyone hate tuning a half step down?

This is a helpful vid, but it could do without the mood lighting. Or... the lack of light, at least.
JustSouthOfNeutral 4 years ago
The official tab book tells you to tune half a step down, and that's how I play it too.
Thanks for this video. When I was first trying to play this it helped me.

Can you explain what a chuck is? I'm not sure what you do with your strumming hand between the first and second chord.
zesty32102 4 years ago
