that is a really odd barn, i don't think i've ever seen a barn like that before. man, my horse would NEVER behave in there! lol he gets distracted when i ride him past the gate to the arena, he wants to look outside at other horses! (we're working on it ;) )

@Cheesekake343 We mainly used that ring for warming up. During the winter, when it would be really really cold we rode in that ring just because it was a few degrees warmer than it was outside.

@HorseCrazy2010x She abscessed on her face, and the previous vet they used was very old medicine, home remedy type. By the time they got a new vet out there who put her on antibiotics, it was too late.

I used to think cantering bareback was weird too : ) As you practise and get the feel of it, you will find it more comfortable and pleasurable! Well for me, cantering bareback is my favourite thing to do! Great job !

You need to sink more into your trot. Sink into the back of your horse. Don't try to rise. Sit deep. Also, keep your legs floppy. Very nice horse with great strides. Next time, I guess you could get Baylee into a canter=) Happy riding!!

yuu did really well staying on if your horse can jump and your a good rider i would concidor putting it up to 2ft maybee it might just help her get a propper jump but sweet horse whats her name and how old are yuu i have 3 horses one is 16.1 hnds my pony is 13 hnds and my spanish one is 15.1 hnds lol xx i have jumped my pony 4.3ft bareback he is so small but has such a big jump in him xxxx

This video is from several years ago so I was not ready nor willing to jump 2 foot bareback. First time I went 2 foot bareback was last summer. Her name is Baylee, but she's registered as Perhaps A Star, and I am now 16.

Yeah, we got lucky with Baylee. She's a nice quality horse - great conformation, gaits, etc. Just have to get expierence on her - she's still a little green.

And both. She had gone through a lot of professional training to be two kid's WP WJ horse, but I do both English and Western with her. Mainly English, though.

I couldn't, then I could, and now I half way can.

At the time of this video (2 yrs ago), I had just started riding bareback, so I hadn't developed those muscles then. After I started riding bareback more, I could post. Then, a few months back, my knees started hurting to the point where I could not walk. Turns out, my inner thigh muscles were pulling me off balance. I had to go to physical therapy to fix that. I can post bareback now, just not as well as I could at one point.

After I started riding bareback more, I started using more of my muscles on the inside of my thighs. Those muscles became stronger than my outer thigh muscles, and it was pulling me off balance which was causing the extreme pain in my knees. I'd also had a show judge adjust my riding style (my knees naturally pointed out because I gripped with my calves, so I had air between the saddle) which started strengthing my inner thigh muscles. And it was no problem in you asking.
