  • I remember listening to John Peel playing this donkeys years ago

still sounds just as fresh today - awesome tune

  • This music is timeless and unique my friends!!!! I loved this when it came out, I love it now at the age of 46!!!!! I played 'grin and bear it' to a guy at work last year, he hadnt heard it before, he said it could ''easily have just been brought out!!!!''. love and respect to one of the most innerfelt and 'personally soulful' punk bands ever to have existed! oh, i'm also getting a ruts tattoo next year!, something i should have done at least 25 years ago!!!

  • @ecopunk66 fair play i got mine in 79 after i saw them supporting the damned

  • Still sends shivers up me old spine.

  • Still love this after 30+ years

  • One of the best records ever made!

  • Their best song shows the massive potential the Ruts had, not just another punk one trick pony, cruelly cut short in their prime - RIP Malcolm Owen.

  • @barty352 and Paul Fox

  • Magnificent.

  • Saw them supporting The Damned at Blackburn KGH. Always thought they were one of the best of the "post-punk" bands. Thanks for uploading this, and RIP Malcolm.

  • Thanks for the real one!!

  • Read that this was the posthumous record after Malcolm Owen's death. Sounds great, shows what they could have been.

  • most excellent post.......play loud

  • Thank you! At last a full volume version of this on the y'tube. must get the headphones out to listen to this proper..shine on.
