I like this version and the first one equally. This one's darker, more straightforward, and more villain-esque, the instrument just send chills down my spine while the other one shows how Gothel torments Rapunzel and the song's whimsical and cheerful tone represents Gothel's fake sweetness.
If I won the lottery, I would commission Alan Mencken to write a villain song just for me, with a fat bonus for writing a reprise. This was brilliant!

I literally just finished watching this. I love this movie. Quite violent actually--brings back good memories of older Disney movies. I would definitely watch this movie again.

I literally just finished watching this. I love this movie. Quite violent actually--brings back good memories of older Disney movies. I would definitely watch this movie again.
