Only two films - Godan and Anuradha which are line on stone and left un-erased mark of his greatness. Very lovely and innocent rural environment which can be witnessed in entire sub-continent. Beautiful how Ravi Shankar's vigorous classical prelude yields to Lataji 's sweet voice. The girls winnowing the grain, the goat kids in the courtyard, the men bringing part of the harvest on their heads-- all this simple, frugal ambiance of a diligent farmer's household is both authentic and enchanting. I recall my own fond visits to rural friends' homes near Meerut and Roorkee ,where we chewed ganna and ate fresh gud. Shubha Khote mimes the song charmingly . Thanks, kalakar67.
