funny how the vanguard is so damn effective in ME1 but in ME2 its only really good on lower difficulties

I normally play as an adept but on Insanity the adept can be killed in 1 bash from a charging Krogan.

@schwalbe it can still be used, its just that biotics are woefully ineffective on higher difficulties where all enemies have defenses. if you can use it well than kudos to you, but their is no wrong or right way to play so please hold back the negativity.

Was recording my voice with an mp3 player live as I played, so when I move the LS or RS it would make a noise against the outer rim or whatever you want to call that part of the frame. Than the triggers.

lol i luv it when ur teammates r like watch out the krogan is charging (ME2) and u are a vanguard coz you can completely out charge the krogan and smack him in the face and shooot his head off.

is there some place you can get a bonus ability like in ME2?

Sorry I am late on this and it was solved already. but basically get a certain number of assault rifle kills and the ability is open for more characters. 75 0r 150 kills If I remember it right.

@eran5005 yeah if ur playing as a soldier class ur first play through, and you get 150 kills with a n assault rifle, you can play as any new character and have the ability to train in assault rifles.

On low levels Insanity is harder, I beat it with fresh playthroughs but the high level is the best bet to speed through it. If you are doing Vanguard specifically than the squad in this vid works

Make sure you have atleast 1 person to cover tech and 1 for Biotics. A single vanguard is not enough to run the only biotics in the squad

how do i unlock insanity mode? Ive beat the game 4 times on normal and try to start a new one on hardcore but then when I start it new gives me an option on what difficutly to start it on (like it does the very 2st time you olay the game) so everytime i start a new one its automatically on normal and if i quickly change it after the game starts it doesent give me the achivement for playing on hardcore because i didnt have it on hardcore from the beggining

I had a similar worry involving Insanity for the achievement, but I decided to just swap to insanity right before beating the game on one of my playthroughs so it would default at insanity when I create a new game (no import)

Ive beaten the game 18 times, so Insanity on a new game is somewhat easy to me. most fun thing in any game, nothing else offers the tactical challenge. this video was just where I was on my 60 achievement and figured why not make a video

wow...totally what the vanguard was not supposed to be. shoulda taken barrier and hammerhead rounds with ur shotgun. much more effective. and liara with a singularity + your and tali's Carnage shot right into the center is devistating

You dick around too much in the tactical view. Map a couple of most used powers and play it like a man.

I was recording voice while playing, it's is a bit distracting and slows me down on gameplay.

as for mapping powers, it tends to activate it when using the wheel when I dont want it.

and just making sure, you know this isnt PC?

if you have accumulated 150 Kills with ____ gun across all your playthroughs (xbox 360 achievement simplified this counter). you gain the option to add it as a bonus weapon to a new character.

same works for Biotics, Tech, Abilities, but only 1 bonus per character.

Of course it's "too easy" for you, that character is level 59. I'd like to see one where you start a fresh game on Insanity. Even DSP beat the game on Insanity after leveling up to 60.

I was in the process of the level 60 achievement when doing this video (new gamertag XBL)

I do fresh start playthroughs on Insanity all the time on this game, and I don't just meatshield the Soldier or spam with an Adept.

my favorite weapon in ME1 was the spectre shotgun equiped with the highest level heat sink availible and the highest level incendary rounds availbile. took care of all my problems
