Dragon Quest is Square Enix's Second best selling franchise. It used to belong to Enix co. before merging with Square Soft (Final Fantasy)

Dragon Quest IX didnt release outside Japan.

Dragon Quest IX has over 2 million copies since its release two or so weeks ago. and it boosted DS sales by like, over 9000. every other console sank like a stone made of lead.

When thay get released here on UMD, the risks are high and so are the prices, it is around 150.00 while the normal price should be around 80.00 (the local equivalent for 40 USD). Through the PSN store there are little risks of piracy or not selling.

I strongly doubt that, it could have been an advertisement for pre-ordering the game.

The NA version isn't releasing until August 25th. Not a single Gamestop in the country has the NA copy anyways, it won't be shipped until days prior to release. And trust me, if a Gamestop was already selling copies of it, there would be TONS of revealed information to the public. (Importantly the voice actors)

I think they said that there will be no new playable characters, just more cameos. Anyway, only the Shadow Lord and Vaan (or Basch) have a real chance of getting in. Ashe was nice and she did pull the story forward, but Vaan is the official main character and Basch has the closest relationship with Gabranth.
