@ingram33 It's not about on-camera-flash in FP mode (I own an olympus e-3 myself)
It's about the maximum sync speed of the shutter (and this is 1/250th of a second on the e-3) This only comes into practice when using off-camera-flash eg in the studio
The S2 has an option of leaf shutter lenses, these lenses work in s different way to focal plane shutter lenses and are built into each lens, they sit along side the aperture blades an have the major benefit of working at all speeds.
Why do you Brits pronounce words that end in the letter "A" with an "R" sound, and words the end in the letter "R" with an "A" sound... ie: You pronounce the word "SENSOR" as "SENSA"... etc, etc, etc... ??? Please stop butchering the mother-tongue!!! Thank you!

it is aimed as a high end stills camera .
