to bad not. the kit is hit sensetive (adjustable in 5 levels) has 10 different drumkits (5, and then each one has a variation on it), a metronome with 3 different sounds, and mix in. so no chockable cymbals, no snare muting, and muffling the crash. still, this IS a really good starter kit, and for practice kit at home to keep sound level quiet.
and i forgot to answer, but the snarrepad has only one trigger, so no rim shots. but it does pick up all the notes, so even really soft one's. drum and pressrolls are possible.
they are both the same, but the full name is "Roland HD-1 V-Drums lite", but some people and even shots remove the "lite" as this may feel like the quallity is low, but i feel like the lite means the drumbrain is rather limited. you can't adjust volume seperate for each pad/cymbal. this is just 10 drumkits put in, with a metronome and sensetivity settings and mix in are the only options.
wow, how do you do that ? i hear the high hat being hit, but i don't see you hitting it :-) is there a trick that you can trigger this sound by using the left pedal ?
i thought so. i haven't played drums on a real or electronic drumkit yet, so i thought you always needed to hit the high hat cymbal to get sound out of it. as soon as mine gets home (i ordered it friday) i can experiment how things work :-)

can you grab the cymbal and still hit it for a dud sound?
What about rim slaps and palm muting the snare?
