If you just have watched this for the first time, and wonder whether you should continue, let me provide with some info I wish I have had had 2-3 weeks ago. If you are expecting a soap - turn to Hollyoaks instead. If you`re are looking for a charachter to cheer on - you`ll be hard pressed. If you just wants to see Philip Olivier naked - you can stop watching after ep. 2. Some, not much, nudity later on, though. And if you cant stand people being abused and manipulated - stop watching.

I'm from abroad and I haven't got any idea about the series. I just watched the normal Hollyaoks serveral times when I was in England and am now wondering whether I can watch this anyway - I mean, without knowing the characters and story of the normal Hollyoaks or are they not connected?

@jessileinchen84 this one is totally independent - 2 of the charachters, Ben and Lisa, used to be in Hollyoaks, that`s all. But Hollyoaks is better, in my opinion. This one cant quite decide whether it wants to be a edgy drama, soap opera, crime story or greek tragedy. And therefore does badly in all categories. But it has some good acting, a few godd story lines - and even some funny lines and comedic situations. But they are few and far apart. It could have done with some serious re-writing.

@Adrianaofficial Hollyoaks started in the 90`s - Jeremy Edwards and Will Mellor, who played Kurt and Jambo, where 2 of its leading charachters. Tony, played by Nick Pickard, is the only one of the original cast that still is in the show (if he haven`t quit within the last six months), and his girlfriend was played by the twin sister of the girl who played his real life brother`s (John Pickard) charachter`s sister on 2.4 Children. Theire surname is Buckfield. One is called Clare. The other Emma?

I thought it stopped production years ago! oh im so excited! i recommend watching from anywhere and everywhere you can. But i dont recognize any ORIGINAL characters in this one. . .hmmm
