  • I went to residential school, i suffered abuse but i chose to forgive before the apology was made. By forgiving my abusers, i am a free man ....I pray that the Creator God Bless Canada

  • I miss Jack Layton.

  • LOL, :30, I like how he displays the exact same attitude whites showed when they started taking Native babies to rape them.

    "We are the dominant culture."

It makes me wonder what sort of stuff goes through his head... "If I'm going to apologize I'm going to take a shot at them."

  • @p00ner2012 He's not saying the Canadian-European culture is dominant in anyway . What he was refering to was that at the time, throughout the Residential School Era, whites viewed their culture as the dominant culture . So he's not saying that one culture is greater than the other, he's simply saying that that was how it was once percieved . Which is also sad . I sometimes think about how First Nations mightve emerged had there been no Residential Schools or racism at all .

  • @p00ner2012 I'm sure they wouldve turned out quite differently . For the better I mean . With their culture and history stronger than it is today, without the horrible influences of the Residential Schools . Pre-First Contact prolly . :/ .

  • Now ,lets see less drunk Indians on the streets, and maybe they can be one with us, and us with them,, cause really, im all Indian-ed out, im done with the bullshit-i drive through hobbema alberta each day, and theirs a sign on the road, watch for pedestrians on highway,i want to give them a ride, but im afraid of being mugged, so i think, fk them, this is a great move for me to help them, and them, to help themselves out of this stereotype i will vote for steve again, just for this move, thank u

  • @terrancelueckgen Idiot-

  • my mom went to a residential school and what upsets me the most now is that FASCIST ISLAM (((MUSLIMS))) are trying to influence the natives into becoming muslim- my mom suffered through alot of stuff and I hope that Islam will not be welcome in the native communities--just because they are angry with the whites

  • @pear5555 If a muslim come knocking on your door then offer him pork, if a muslim refuses to remove his hat then tell him that these are your rules and he must obey. Islam and christianity are in their ways and conduct the same religion...one is more open the other more cloaked, but both are spreading hatred and their goal is and have always been...CONTROL!!! Cudos to you for not giving in to them. May victory and peace one day return to your people. Greetings from Scandinavia.

  • @TheDraeStar -- well obviously do not know much about either religion to make the assumption --

  • What's that? a hat? crazy, funk, junk hat...lol jk thanks this is gunna help on my essay due tomorrow :)

  • we deserve so much more as natives... our ancestors suffered genocide.. now us younger generations need more than an apology.. we need money, prestocked fridges and more land.

  • The residential school system was a premeditated attempt to complete the colonization process: destroy the indigenous population/culture. No verbal apology will ever undo the brutality, hatred and pure evil required to facilitate such a process.

  • Alot of these church organizations catholics .. anglican....etc..... the clergy would have there way with young native boys and girls..... and on the following sunday pray to god for forgiveness through confession...... yeah how many fuckin hail marys you got to repeat to be clear of mind..... oh yeah 100 hail marys.... god will fix it..... bullshit ..... alot of kids died trying to run away from these schools trying to make it back to there communities alot parished ... thats my rant

  • Look at the kids in these residential schools and compare them to the Indian children running around the streets of our cities today. The kids in the residential schools are very well feed and taken care off. Each one of them had a bed to sleep on, they wore clean cloths, they were disciplined they attended classes and got an education. Indian kids today and back then, lived in over cowed dirty houses, without heat and adults drunk or stoned 24/7. The man around the house is not the father.

  • @TheRevitGuru 150,000 kids were sent to residential schools across Canada. Out of 150,000 only 50,000 kids remained. What does that tell you? Unlike today, I go to school and come back home. Whereas, my father didn't.

  • @FluXez00 The so called survivor of the Residential schools are also survivor of self inflected alcohol and drug abuse. Most Indians have been on methadone to come off drugs and it is well known that methadone destroys one will and make them compulsive liars because they are still on a trip. Stories of the residential schools are coming from mentally sick people. This mental illness is passed down to the next generation and that is why the new generation also are worthless drug users.

  • @TheRevitGuru lolno.

  • @TheRevitGuru your from your father the DEVIL

  • @pear5555 OR MAYBE YOUR GERMAN OR ISLAMIC--hahaa or maybe just UKRANIAN

  • Imperial Oil has been around since 1880. Thats a long history of collusion in some of the atrocities in Candas History. Its a sad day when one of Exxon's puppets stand up appologizing for something he doesnt believe in. Good thing all you right wing racist freaks can't make harper the "King of Canada".

So if you guys don't like what I have to say then your no better then the lies being spoken on this video...I have said my peace

  • Sorry? That doesn't work. Go to jail.

  • That's the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard come out of Harper's mouth. He doesn't care.Apologizing is no more than a legal obligation to him.I'm Squamish and take personal offense to this. It's bad enough to have the law against First Nations people, but to have an apology for RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS treated like a joke! I will never accept Harper's apology, and he should take back saying he apologizes for all of Canada when he doesn't mean it even for himself.

  • @indimcmathz Why can't you all just accept the apology. It doesn't matter if Harper is sincere because hundreds of thousands of Canadians are, it's an apology on our behalf. I am sorry.

Progress is notoriously slow on a large scale, you all need to be patient.

  • tbh most chugs are fat, arrogant assholes with no connection to thier FORMER culture, true indians dont need special right, true indians dont need reserves, true indians are proud of thier culure and dont need any special treatment

  • @matefeedkillrepeat45 By the sounds of your choice of words, you can barely tell apart your face from your ass. So tell me genius, should we give the land to some imbicile like you? or should we give school funding for aboriginals to more unappreciative jack asses like you as well? How about we just spread it among all the WHITE scumbags who abuse things like the welfare system to keep up with their crack habit, there's a great idea. I take comfort in the fact dumbasses like you have no say.

  • Here's a bulletin for Canada et al. I for one am not interested in apologies. I am interested in results.

  • @honda12345678 you have absolutely no say in this. BUT yeah, we laugh our asses off and just take your money, we've been doing this for over 30 years, soooo uhh...thanks for all the support you guys gave us, AND of course the money also....just shut up and stop bitching about paying taxes, stupid ass prick.

  • some of these children died...... SOME OF THESE CHILDREN, YOU MEAN TENS OF THOUSANDs

  • Honestly how much money would it take to make each and every native individual happy? I understand bad things have happened and some have a hard way of life. I was born here, my family never took anything from anyone. I want to eat then i work and get an education. You get free health care because people get up in the morning, work and provide funding. You can sit on your ass with your hand out and feel sorry for yourself of you can use your race to an advantage and live a full life. Grow up.

  • @honda12345678 there is NO amount of money that can make up for what has been done to FIRST NATIONS. Honda, you sit there at you computer with your smug bias opinions without compassion or empathy for what has been done. If it wasn't for the constant attempt at assimilation.... Why couldn't they have built schools on reserves rather than sending them hundreds of miles away? Grow up and quit whining about TAXES be thankful that's all that's being taken from you!!!

  • @LittleGoil Why do "WE" the people you have so much hate towards have to build your schools. Native people want to do their own thing, why are we always stuck paying the bill. Last i checked this was the largest free country in the world. You can live anywhere you like. If you want schools then use the ones already provided. Why do we have to build your schools, build your homes, provide resources, and basically look after them like infants. You cant help people that cant help themselves.

  • @honda12345678 I don't hate anyone, hate is a waste of energy! It's true some people take advantage of "social services" but there are MANY that are working and paying taxes just like you. There has ALWAYS been a dominant race, why? Do you know your history? If this country is so free then why did the Europeans come here and claim to have found land when Natives were already here then tried to ASSIMILATE them to THEIR ways!!!

  • We will never set things right with the natives. You want to live off the land, we're ruining your way of life? then why in nothern manitoba do we truck in millions of dollars worth of fuel to provide you with food and electricity on these reserves. Why do you think you should live in as nice of a house as i do. I WORK for everything i have and then still all my tax money goes into your pocket so you can drink and smoke and gamble. You cant have it both ways people.Get off the countrys money tit

  • Take your stupid fake apology && shove it UP YOUR WHOTE ASS !!!!!!!!!!! asshole.. You think a little I'm sorry will erase everybody's experience and the removal of our culture will make everything okay? Fuck off asshole !! Native pride -3 -3

  • your apolagy can kiss my brown ass =)

  • I didnt think it was genuine myself when I saw it on t.v. cest la vie

  • destroy the sistem no mercy

  • They Are Bull Shitting Us Like They Did Are Ancestors

  • DOMINATE RACE MY ASS F OFF WHITE MAN My Musom Escaped When His Dad And 26 Others From MY Rez Set Fire To One The Their Residential Schools Take That shit Cree's And Black Foot's Are Fighters And We Will Never Change Next Time They Try To Pull This Off No One Is Taking Are Kids I Don't Listen To The Bull Shit Of These Senators And Mp's And The Whites Power I Am A Cree Indian My Grandfather Told Me Never Back Down From The White Man They Said This Will Never Happen Again Whatever

  • I remember this and thought: that's all? Every region of the world past or present has done wrong to an ethnic group, religious group or women. Canada no exception. Harper is not really able to speak from the heart, have yet to see him do it.

  • its funny because hes reading it off a sheet he probally doesn't even give a shit they all don't give a shit i hope this whole government goes to shit

  • @420ZombieKilla Ehe They Dont Give A Dam Bottom Of My Heart My Ass

  • These are the White people, they apologize after its too late. WTH is their apology going to do the people lost their culture. They're the most selfish people that i've seen, they think that everyone should be like them and they don't even have a culture.

  • This guy is a power puppet who has AVOIDED THE TRUTH with political doublespeak IT WAS GENOCIDE . Those who have profited and continue to profit today should be punished those who perpetrated these crimes against humanity and their children should be stripped of all material ownership and feel the full power of justice they should be tried at Nuremberg the same as the Nazi's. Our PM should be tried because in denying the true nature of these crimes he has become culpable. He is a criminal.

  • i respect the fact that they apologized, better late than never, p.s to the comment below, shut up, you dont know shit, how about you GET OVER being a dumb prejudice son of a bitch.

  • Comment removed

  • What has changed how is this a chapter in history. The genocide continues.

  • I hated this. I missed school to watch this. He doesn't care. You care see it, everywhere. He doesn't care, and the rest of the country doesn't care. How can you rise above that? I'm dedicating my life to helping Aboriginal people in Canada.

  • it should never have happened.

  • apology is not enough, we need funding for native based mental health programs now because of what was done to our parents and grandparents. we need funding for native based drug and alcohol programs too because of this in the united states and canada. the US and Canada should be making a joint effort along with the Catholic church and Anglican church to make reparations and restitution to all tribes of united states and canada for everything that has been done to us by their organizations.

  • We can apologize from of our hearts - and to be sure we do not forget what has happened we must change our National Anthem from O, Canada my home and Native Land - should start out with - O CANADA MY HOME ON NATIVE LAND - so every time we sing our anthem we pay homage to our First Nations - whom preserved this beautiful country like anyone would treat their Mother - our Mother Earth - be nice to her or else - Hell hath no fury like a Mother Earth Scorned - she is warning up pay attention

  • He don't sound sincere. But Canada did get an apology. I highly doubt the United States will EVER give one.

  • @MyHealingSoul you are making assumptions based on race that makes you a racist - a Canadian

  • Comment removed

  • That "apology" was a joke. If the government of Canada is truely sorry for these acts; why have they stopped funding residential school survivor centres/programs that are designed to help these people? Why have they decided to stop funding S.I.S (Sisters In Spirit)? Why do they continuously ignore their needs on reserves? Why do they seem to cut funding for anything that actually helps Native people? It doesn't make sense...don't apologize for something if you don't even mean it. Anyone agree?

  • @KahPow84 I agree its hippocritical.

  • @KahPow84 I'm sorry, but I don't get it. if aboriganals are going to claim to be their own seperate people, and say that they are not canadian, but live on thier land that we (the canadians) took over, then why is it they they would expect the canadian gov't? I mean, I understand some, but the Gov't has appologized, and give a good deal of money. Plus, natives don't have to pay taxes. After awhile, it becomes clear the apolagy will never be execpted, so why would they keap trying?

  • @panicedpokemon72 Where's this place you speak of where indians don't have to pay taxes? because I'm indian and I've been paying taxes since my first job in 1999 @ 14 yrs old, so did my mother since 1973. And so has my father, who is white. Strange.......

  • @crackparty IF YOU WORK ON YOUR RESERVE YOU DON'T PAY TAX... BUT IF YOU WORK IN TOWN OR THE CITY YOU PAY TAX BECAUSE YOU ARE WORKING FOR THE WHITE MAN. ONLY IF YOU WORK ON RESERVE OR FOR YOUR BAND YOU SHOULDN'T BE PAYING TAX AT ALL.

  • @StackedSugar Then why are these ppl complaining about them not paying taxes? shouldn't that only be a burden on the band and not the government?

  • @crackparty What are you talking about??? I seriously don't get it... Anyways, I work for my band office and I work on reserve. Therefore I don't pay taxes. Anything else you say to me will be ignored.

  • @StackedSugar Wow, you are retarded. Did you not understand anything I just told you?

  • @crackparty Trolololol You're so annoying.

  • @StackedSugar You're actually trolling me, but ok. I'm a troll and you're retarded. Fine by me.

  • @crackparty i find its funny you say indian which i have been told is a rude and derogitory term.

  • @jumbalialover43 My friend who is also metis finds it insulting. I simply used it here so everyone knew what I was talking about. Not everyone in this place is familiar with the word "aboriginal". I could have also called them native americans, native indians, etc. Most ppl in the world know what the word "indian" relates to. Although Some might mistake that for the ppl of the country india.

  • @crackparty only on the rez

  • @KahPow84 Fuck you buddy, every year billions goes towards native affairs and they just spend it on drugs and liquor. Plus like 99% of the people who experienced the bad residential schools are dead. If it wasn't for Europeans, Canada would be equivalent to a small African country in quality of life. Natives should be great-full.

  • @BoschmaniacRS Fuck you too ! :D

  • @KahPow84 - Bollocks. The Liberals were in power for 13 years - where was their apology? Scrap the reserves, get cleaned up, integrate with the rest of society, go to school, get a job, quit your griping and stop expecting my tax dollars to fund your drinking habit.

  • @bgibb101 I normally ignore replies to my comment, but I would like to say that I am not Native American (or white for that matter). And "drinking habit" ? Really ? You know not every Native American person drinks right ? Some people like myself actually dislike the taste of alcohol.

  • @KahPow84 - I don't drink either. However, I have also met enough Native Canadians who live in mainstream society and tell me that the rserves are the worst places to live as there is so much abuse of all kinds going on there - without a white man in sight. 222 aboriginal chiefs and counselors from First Nations communities across Canada earn more money than their provincial premiers, and 82 make more than the prime minister. Yet the people still suffer. Greed and neglect all the way....

  • @bgibb101 Hmmm, interesting info...

  • @bgibb101 its true.....alot of corruption ..... if your not a relative of the chief... or friends .... you will always be on the bottom

  • this is disgraceful, he referred them as "indians". so NOT politically correct mr. politician sir.

  • @chechthegoaliegurl I'm Indian and it doesn't bother me. The Liberals could have done the same thing (apologize) when they were in power; yet they didn't. I don't agree with Harper on everything, but he did earn my respect. Take care.

  • Could you say it with feeling, please?

  • We can learn from the past to inhance the present and future. One can also choose to change the present and future not the past.

Is it time for North America to heal from the past and focus on the present and future too?

    Peace,

    E-T

  • apology not accepted

  • This video makes you wonder who won the war against the Indians . I know for a fact the first immigrants to this great land (that being asians thru the bering strait) lost the war to the second wave of immigrants (europeans). I love the way people choose to only pick out want they want from history to proove their point. They are called revisionists !

  • You can tell by the way he moved his eyes that he was not being genuine in his apology. Thank god for that, as apologys were not required . Canada was just trying to help these poor people living in poverty and filth due to their lack of work ethic. The problem was that the organized religions were involved and abused the natives. Religion should have apologized not Canada. This is a joke.

  • @SKYSWEEPER11 Yeah because it wasn't being funded by the government right? We are talking about MURDER here, and kidnapping. These children were forced into these schools, and they were beaten, sexually abused, raped, murdered, and taken from their parents and physically beaten out of their culture and religion. You think harper saying sorry is going to cure all that? you're a moron. It's recent history, that happened for nearly a century you ignorant twat.

  • @crackparty Methinks you smoke too much crack at the party. Suggestion for you , find the perps, .... clue they are in large cavernous buildings called churches . Some are in Rome ........ another clue in a place called the Vatican.......... Rome is in Italy ! England also , enuff clues do your own research . Go get em loser.

  • @SKYSWEEPER11 And you say I'm on the crack? lol....

  • Do innovative nations offer purpose for education? Do people think and process? Do computers process based on peoples thoughts? Canada is an innovative nation that trades with other innovative nations too.

    E-T

  • smoke the tobacco and your hate will go away

  • Canadian can i did and made friends too. They have a culture filled with art and great intellect.

    E-T

  • I cannot believe that I never learned about these Residential Schools while I was at school.

Native studies should be a more serious part of Canadian school curricula, which does not only focus on stereotypical perceptions, ie. tepees and tomahawks.

All canadians should learn about these Native cultures, as are a part of our country.

  • @plugee Hell no. How about learning more math or something? Canada and the US are far behind other countries in hours of learning.

  • @plugee Wow, you havent? Really starting the topic on Natives came up at around grade 7 and on, for me. We pretty much learned about all the Native tribes, And residential schools. The schools were a big topic. We watched at least two movies about them, and how drastic they were. Sadly it all depends in what province you come from. Seeing as they have the control on what we learn.

Stereotypes? umm.. the traditional housing for them were tepees. Until they got assimilated into how "whites" live

  • @plugee I think it is part of the curriculum, right now in grde 10 we are studying it

  • the children who have died in the schools will never hear this apology.

they died without justice, and those who have lived on and survived through all those years of sexual, emotional, physical, and spiritual abuse were payed thousands, but even then, all that money can't take away all of that.

as a native living in canada, i've come to learn of my history and why i don't speak my own language. it seems they've managed to kill the indian in the children after all.

  • @EdwardSchiffer Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) - APTN.ca - Home Page. Solutions such as these are offering ways to preserve your language. Let's choose to live in the present and future and less in the past. The past has shared much knowledge this will help the present and future. It is too easy to blame a whole country for the negative issues of the past. Let's enjoy what we have all built and embrace the present and future while learning from the past.

    Peace,

    E-T

  • Canadians and our trade partners have helped to give the land more value. This allows revenue to be shared and to enhance Canada's society. Making friends takes some effort from all people. One trusts that the friendships made will be lasting ones. Many if not most Canadians support this apology. It was the right thing to do. i hope we will continue to make friends while learning from the past to enhance the present and future.

    E-T

  • War does not discriminate. Peace does not discriminate. The difference is one is a consequence the other is a choice.

    Peace,

    E-T

  • Those that come to North America are free to promote peaceful trade. Try to leave any issues that prevent you from having peace behind in the past. Think of why North America is your home and remember all the people that built Canada and the freedom to trade in peace.

    E-T

  • North America and our allies and friend have very innovative citizens. To blame a whole race for the bad one then can blame them for the good too. We have moved on and learned from the past. It is a shame that there are still nations in the world that are struggling with their own issue. We can change the present and future with knowledge from the past. North Americans live in peace. One trusts that those coming to North America do so to enjoy peace.

    E-T

  • @etellurian After moving to North America I found white people here are very emotionally hostile and in a politically correct matter. I have worked in many offices and for no reason whites hate me and get very hostile towards me.

When the whites came to this land they did not come here with the intent of living in peace with the natives, they killed vast majority of the native to take control of their land. How could there ever be peace with whites who are blood thirst savages to this day?

  • @MyHealingSoul "hate me and get very hostile towards me" Can you give me an example? Unfortunatly war can make people "hostile" that is why peace is prefered. Canada, along with our friends and allies are helping to win peace in the desert region(s). Perhaps solar technology will help sustain the peace.

Building Canada has not been a perfect process. We can only learn from the past not live in the past. Our present and future offers great potential as we move forward in freedom and peace.

  • @etellurian Canada is not in the Middle East to ferment peace. They are there to steal from those countries. Why Canada is not in Cyprus which is a divided island and why is Canada in Afghanistan? Cyprus grows potatoes while Afghanistan is rich in minerals, oil and gas. Canada was founded on hate, genocide, discrimination and resentment. There can never be peace in Canada for this reason. What you see around is only superficial peace because the people love their credit facilities. Canada =hate

  • @MyHealingSoul "hate me and get very hostile towards me" Can you give me an example?

Afghanistan was so poor they were getting paid to train terrorists. Fear became an industry they could export. That industry is gone in Afghan8istan. The one flourishing is opium. The country and their allies you accuse of "hate" are helping to offer more choices. War is not a choice it is a consequence.

Let's agree to disagree on you point that "Canada=hate". If that is your opinion that is your choice.

  • @etellurian It is the whites who instigate all wars only to sell arm to the warring factions.

The US had their 9/11 and one day Canada will have theirs. Because Canada is treating foreign trained professionals in a disrespectful way and hatred for Canada is building up from within.

  • @etellurian When the whites came to this land they did not come here to live in peace with the aboriginals, they killed most of them and stole their land. The few we see today are the descendants of aboriginals who hid in the swamps and remote regions of this land. Whites do not have peace in their hearts how can they live in peace with other? It is only because of the law that the whites live in a tame manner other wise whites are savages at hearth.

  • @MyHealingSoul

hey dumbass, racism does not cure racism...you have as much hate in your heart as the nazi's did with the jews

  • @etellurian Strong Canadian characteristic = hate, genocide, discrimination and resentment.

  • Now the Canadian Prim Minister is apologizing to the aboriginals for the mistreatment of the aboriginal children received in the residential schools, the day will come when the Canadians will apologise to the world for belittling and demeaning foreign trained professionals who immigrated to Canada. The Canadian educational system is so low they produce incompetent pupils who cannot read or write. That karma at work.

  • @MyHealingSoul

quit your whining, abuse occuring at residential schools has absolutely nothing to do with some offside comment directed at you (which may or may not be the result of you being incompetent at your job)

you seem to hate white people and canada a lot, you seriously expect the government of canada to give an apology to foreign workers for "belittling and demeaning comments" that's funny, you should be thankful that you were let in

  • Is poverty a form of prison? What about the working poor? This is Canada there should be no such thing as working poor. We can innovate which creates jobs. Our founding nations have built a fine country. Let's encourage innovative employment too.

    E-T

  • @etellurian I find Canadians hate foreign trained professional only because we foreign trained professionals are very skilled and knowledgably at our work. Our work ethoics are very high and we produce a lot more than the whites.

Whites can only run their mouths and talk a lot of shit. So basically whites are full of shit!

  • @MyHealingSoul

let's see, canadians hate you because you are "knowledgably" (sic) and your "ethoics" (sic) are very high?

if you are so skilled and full of knowledge, you may wish to expand on that and learn how to read/write english properly, as it may help you in your career.

You see as you blame your co-workers, and play the victim, you don't realize that the reason you aren't successfull in your work is: well your training and grasp on the english language just is inferior to canada

  • Innovative employment that keeps up with the cost of living will keep Canadians out of prison.

    E-T

  • 100 bucks if us natives go to residential school we wouldnt fill canada's jail sells

  • There are no issue in Canada we are still able to innovate and cultivate trade with those that understand the value of innovation. The Canadian founding nations understand innovation well and have a strong history of such endeavors.

    E-T

  • When are they going to apologize for flooding Canada with tens of millions of non Europeans? Why are all white countries and only white countries being flooded with millions of non Europeans and being told they must assimilate with them? It is genocide.

  • Canada's founding nation have welcomed the world to Canada. It is up to the individual to make the best of our nation Canada not to divide her. We are an innovative society with innovative trade partners. We have a good and strong history of innovation which has helped sustain a country built on peaceful principals and intellectual strength.

    E-T

  • @etellurian Now the Canadian Prim Minister is apologizing to the aboriginals for the mistreatment of the aboriginal children received in the residential schools, the day will come when the Canadians will apologise to the world for belittling and demeaning foreign trained professionals who immigrated to Canada. The Canadian educational system is so low they produce incompetent pupils who cannot read or write. That karma at work.

  • The day will come when Canada will apologise to all foreign trained professional who came to live here on native land for not recognizing their qualification and there by making professionals do menial jobs. Too many people have lost their dignity and will to live at the hands of this God for sake country. It is a circle children of immigrants who were treated badly do it to newer immigrants.

  • We are not INDIAN we dont come from the othereside of the world WE ARE CALLED NATIVE AMERICAN K ALL G`S

  • Well another year has started what have we done to help forgive the past and build upon our friendships? Raven can help. Innovation that builds upon our friendships will enhance Canada while being an example of a peaceful nation and one that works with our trade partners for a peaceful future.

    E-T

  • @etellurian Whites are wolves in sheep skin. Whites are blood thirsty and that is why whites go around the world staring war.

  • @MyHealingSoul "Whites are wolves in sheep skin. Whites are blood thirsty and that is why whites go around the world staring war". - MyhealingSoul

The Saddam regime invaded Kuwait. The world stood up and agreed that that is not how to trade. The US was attacked on 9/11 following the Saddam regimes removal from Kuwait. The Saddam regime started a war. It is irrelevant what colour ones skin is war does not care it kills all people. Canadians and our allies are free to choose peace.

    E-T

  • @MyHealingSoul

If you don't like white people then get out of Canada. You hate on Canada's educational system, however the fact is that your writing is inferior to an average grade 8 canadian public school student.

If you don't like whites then get the fuck out of canada your racist piece of shit, i'm white and my family were immigrants here, and worked our asses off (and I do work my ass off) for a better/nice life.

If you aren't prepared to work hard and stop being a victim, go home

  • @chrisbc29

you referred to yourself as the immigrant, if you don't like what you have moved into, then you should go home

  • @158bp when did I state that I did not like what I moved into? um I didn't, just tired of the whiner above.

Canada is a great place to live, anyone with a work ethic, a desire to make something of themselves, and a desire to better themselves and learn more, can do quite well.

And i'm not an immigrant, i'm canadian. My family were immigrants who fought in WW1 and WW2, so yeah I am home, i'm about as canadian as you can get.

read my posts before you respond, nothing wrong with my home.

  • @chrisbc29

it appears your post has disappeared!? Canada is diverse cause everyone who came here is welcomed with open arms which is a great thing Nothing in the apology says that the 1st Nations Ppl have no work ethic or want to live for free Ppl with Status do pay taxes go to school have jobs&pay for their homes I know because I am Sto:lo I attend university I pay taxes I have a job&I have to pay for a home just as anyone else does oh&I don't drink and the grammar is limited characters

  • @chrisbc29

the apology and money given is for children being stolen from their parents and beaten and raped by the people who were welcomed in with open arms.

  • this ashol sukes you need to do beter than that canada viva la metis canada still dose not give a shit about us

  • maybe you can stick your penis on a chopping block and chop it off and maybe the Canadian Natives will forgive nooo they will not but still chop your dick off

  • @TheOsawa666 now just cut there balls off

  • He's nothing but a goon himself.....I detest this man, he can take his apology and put it where the sun doesn't shine.

  • RACIST!

  • I will believe the apology when they institutionalize it by changing our national anthem to O CANADA MY HOME ON NATIVE LAND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • :*(

  • Speaks with a forked tongue this fellow. And why aren't the priests and nuns coming foward to face justice? I'm sure some of them are still alive.

  • real asian women lushfmlk.info

  • It's not entirely the governments fault about the residential schools where is the apology from all the churches all the preachers who beat and murdered all the young children where is there apology

  • @jaygreg1 it is the the governments fault! If you read Sections114-122 in the Indian Act, the government gave power and control to provinces and religious groups to create and run Residential School.

  • my favorite part is when he says " the burdan of this is properly ours as a government and as a counrty there is no place in canada for the attidudes that inspired the indian residential school system to ever prevail again in canada" its an exilent quote on racism toward first naions people in canada

  • Our First Nations partners have had justice. An apology for the past and a partnership for the future. We do not want to see our partners used and abused. We are Canadians. We can not change the past we can enhance the present and future. Canada is an established society with freedom of religion and respect for a nation built by First Nations France and the UK. These groups of people along with some early explorers welcomed the world in peace.

  • @etellurian:s it possible for you to see the big picture here?most native north americans are not simply "canadian",they cohabitate with non-natives on turtle island, which is attempting to genocide them even to this very day but they share "dual-citizenship".they are not specifically american or canadian but northamerican natives. their land was parceled up&divided amongst the interlopers to whom they showed their greatest respect&hospitality towards. how were they thanked?Creator forgive them.

  • ...oh brothers how we miss your bravery of yesterday..we shall show the bravery of today..your children were taken..we stand to defend ours today..peace be upon you...islam shall rise..and i pray give you justice one day..

  • we are as one

  • Is it time to let North America heal? Is it time to remember the good that came from our First Nations partnership? Is it time stand up and let the world see what the beacon of democracy stands for on our own land? Let it be time.

    Peace,

    E-(

  • Did not our First nations friend offer friendship? Did not the French give to North America a statue of Liberty to hold the light. The beacon of democracy that every First Nations has help to defend in every war every battle they were there. Did not the UK give us a language to communicate with. We can have no better a friend than our First Nations partners. Is it time?

  • We can continue to show as an example to other nations around the world why North America is the land of the free and home of the brave. A home built with a vision in mind with constitution written to include all. Our First Nations Friends have helped us to write those constitutions and in Canada our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Those rights include the freedom to work with our First Nations friends and their right to work with us. Is it time? Is it time to show the world the light?

  • Can we earn back the trust lost by helping North America heal from the past by bringing people together to build for a common cause? Is that common cause industries that will help sustain energy demands without damage to our environment. Is it time to show a new generation what is is to have good friends in our First Nations partners. In the past they showed our ancestors how to live on the land. Friends reciprocate we can with First Nations help build a vibrant alternative energy industry.

  • We, that includes First Nations, are battling for the freedom of people in far aways lands so they can have freedom. It seems logical that we also battle for the freedom of the people that have helped us in two world wars. Is it time that we also work with the people in our own back yards? Is it time to build sustaining alternative energy industries with our First Nations friends? Do they need sustaining employment too? Can alternative energy industries be built on their land? Is it time?

  • thats pretty cool

  • What if some innovators donated some of our ideas to help North America heal? Would that help? Please share your thoughts too.

  • I would wish to see our lands powered on Solar, wind, hydrogen, and other innovations, so we could get off Middle East Oil and stay out of their conflicts stop supplying weapons and meddling with their lives. Colonialist Policy is no more fair in Palestine then it was here. A new non-Colonial Constitution that expands extensively Judicial, civil and privacy rights protections for everyone across the board, the rights to be secure in our person and property "Guns" with out threat ! or fines !

  • @selenadelos how much would be needed to compensate for resources and the past? Hydrogen manufactured at sea does not require land. Though some of the revenue could go towards helping to heal North America if built with and operated with North Americans. This type of energy solution would require like minded thinking people that see the value in investing in North America and our health.

PLO killed innocent people in the name of their cause. First Nations have not done that ... more civilized

  • @etellurian : See the leaders in our past were corrupt and appointed by powers of the Govt, these leaders sold mineral, lumber and tracts that were not theirs to sale, I have heard the estimates placed at several billion dollars. This would elevate the housing to livable standards and help with infrastructure that could lure businesses into our economy and that is what we really need here work and yes that would help heal our people hand outs are counter constructive the easy way kills pride !

  • @selenadelos the land which you live on does it get much sun light? If so would it have room for solar fields? Are there grants that you can apply for that would help fund energy projects like this? Has AIM put their collective energy behind creating alternative energy industries on their land? This would employ people to build, maintain and operate. This would create revenue by selling power to the state to sustain the employment and improve living standards.

  • How much will it cost to compensate Those who's land was taken? Would compensation help the healing process? Does the development of the land add value to the land? How can we help pay for compensation? Can innovative ideas help to generate the revenue to help the healing?
