  • Good job lads... Bardzo dobrze!!

  • fair play!

  • I'm mistaken, it's not the guitar I was hearing, it was that other instrument... it's name escapes me though.

  • Bouzouki

  • This is wonderful. I love the sound of an Irishman singing!! Love the accent and the guitar. Irish folk songs are among my favorites!!

  • Irish accent?! Check out the members of the band in "More info" - This is a Polish group singing an Irish song!! Though in fairness, they do a better job of singing Irish folk and pronouncing Irish placenames than I would at singing Polish folk or pronouncing Polish placenames!! And that's a bazouki that you're hearing

  • There's also an American version, which I've just put up on YouTube. It uses the African-American call and response technique.

  • where s andy irvine

  • Andry Irvine is the author of lyrics and music. We just perform his song in our arrangement.

  • no actually this wasn't written by Andy Irvine unless he was around a few centuries ago. The Martin Carthy version mentioned above is an English variant of the same..I suppose you could call...traditional song.

  • i always thought it was skewbald like the martin carthy song.

  • You are right, there are a couple versions of this song and this is an "Irish-like" one.
