I think the sadness of the song portrays Terra's lonelyness. The majority of her journey the only companionship she allows herself is Locke and Edgar. Its the key it is played in that adds the darkness to it.

He never wrote out tabs. He just listened to me playing and learned the song by ear. Then changed the key pitch since it's better for the guitar. He doesn't need tabs or sheet music to play these types of songs there just easy to him.
